The moment he did this, it was obvious why and he became a hero to me. He risked significant wealth and his very life just for the chance (no guarantee, you knew they would do their best to destabilize / de-platform X) to create an uncensored platform.

  • Ohio Uber driver killed in shooting after being sent to pick up scammer’s package

So someone called the old guy, tells him they are gonna kill him if he doesn’t give them money to bounce a relative out of jail, and that they will send an accomplice to pick up the loot, so he better pay up. They then hire an Uber driver, who is not an accomplice to go and get the loot. He sees the girl show up, asking for the package. Now he is not crazy, assuming this is part of a gang, and that she is lying and may have dropped off others nearby to ambush him, so he holds her at gunpoint while he tries to figure out what to do. I can see where the old guy is coming from, although perhaps he went too far. The Uber driver was just another victim. The scammer is really responsible for the whole situation.

To understand inflation requires no special analysis or looking at specific categories; just look at the gold price versus the dollar. For two hundred years the price of gold jumped around with some small variance, but was always bwtween $20 and $40 an ounce. As soon as we went off the gold standard and began to print money not backed by gold, it began to soar. Now it is around $2000 an ounce. That is the real measure of currency debasement, which is really what the consumer cares about.

Please NEVER move to Pennsylvania; people like you are why so many people spend life in prison for just trying to defend themselves against violent savages. A rational person who has been in violent confrontations like this is the only one who understands that when someone assaults you, you can’t wait for them to cause permanent injury or kill you to act— it is a split second decision. When they attempt to open your car door, attempt to break your car window, or rush or swing at you, you can shoot them. If a group of them surrounds you, start pushing you, or knock you down, for example in a river where you may drown, it doesn’t matter how weird you acted, you now have a right to defend yourself UNTIL THE THREAT IS NEUTRALIZED. That means killing all of them. Likewise, if they are armed, and begin to witdraw, you don’t know if they are taking up covered positions to begin shooting again, so you can keep shooting until they are no longer a threat. Have you ever been violently assaulted, especially by a group of people who pulled out weapons after the assault began to swing out of their favor? If not, you should never even be allowed on a self-defense jury in my opinion. Things happen fast, and the guy you just knocked out oold, is now up and has pulled out a knife and is coming at you from behind. I have lived in some horrible neighborhoods when getting my education and had to deal with all the situations described here; I am lucky to be alive, and even luckier to not be in prison as I no doubt would with jurors like those today who live pampered life and never encounter violent people who want to end their lives.

He needs to get smart so he can ask them the right questions during these briefings. I know firsthand that they can’t make a strong case when challenged. Laziness and convenience while flagrantly breaking the law and spending billions of dollars to support the technical infrastructure required to do this for negligible return on investment, rather than rolling up their sleeves and doing their job the traditional way.

  • Why Democrats Aren’t Really Worried About ‘Disinformation’

What really worries the left: They have spent three generations gaining control of critical US infrastructure including entertainment, news media, government, academic institutional leadership, religious seminaries and authorities, secondary education, medicine, and academic department leadership all to give them the ability to set the narrative, which they deem "truth", that will sway a broad swath of the electorate towards their policies and candidates so convincingly that anyone who opposes them is a "kook" or "conspiracy theorist".

Now we have the potential for heavily used media channels outside their control (X, Truth Social, Gab, ...) to offer a competing narrative, but moreso, we have the ability for AI tools to allow the common person who is not part of a political machine to generate hard hitting counters to their propoganda that will strike a nerve with a large swath of the electorate. This is why they are losing their minds and you see thousands of news stories about disinformation and why AI needs to be controlled.

Exactly, anyone who believes there haven’t been Americans with boots on the ground since day one is incredibly naive about how modern armies fight, and not just contractors. Supporting the fires chain starts at the sensor; could be space or could be deep HUMINT which one way or another will be mediated by some kind of special operations force likely with spooks, and doing this, as well as developing targets and clearing fires is not something shitholians can do without a lot of help.

So many states will arrest YOU if you kill a dangerous predator, that most people will hesitate. In PA you can’t shoot bears or rattlesnakes anymore without risk of going to prison if they are near your domicile. This is one case where a federal law would be useful, saying that every American has the right to shoot any dangerous predator on sight to include any poisonous snake, dog/coyote/wolf, bear, alligator, birds of prey, with no questions asked and regardless of protected status.

When Trump was president, income of around 50k, close to the household median income at the time, was sufficient to afford a median priced home; now it takes around 115 -120k to afford the same median priced home, but income has crept up to only around 65-70k. Being able to buy a home is now out of reach for the majority of Americans; in fact buying groceries, gas and electric is increasingly growing out of reach of a signifcant number of Americans... any attempt to put lipstick on this pig will not merely be met with derision, it will turn people against these idiots... so let them tell their lies, and pass the popcorn. Liberals will not vote for Trump, but they will sit the election out rather than vote for the cause of their misery.

Oh, most of them are dumb... this is the mean IQ; they are propped up by the STEM majors. I would guess for Physics, electrical engineering, software engineering, non-education mathematics, etc. you would find IQs at or over 120, with some pushing 160, while non-STEM would be below 100.

Prior to this war, Ukraine spent around $5B annually on defense. We have given them $46B already just in military aid, and $75B in other aid. This includes 160 155mm howitzers, with 1.5 million rounds. This price tag does not include the entirety of our Intel capabilities both from space and forward deployed forces, as well as forward deployed military expertise that is training, coaching and guiding. That is more than enough; if you can’t win with that much of an edge in this much time, you aren’t going to.

You're going to be disappointed if you're waiting for the nation to correct itself through "proper" channels.

Oh, we we will be corrected, and it will be through the most proper channels... when Jesus Christ returns with the wrath of the Almighty, not as a merciful Saviour, but as a Judge on the last day. At this point, how much longer can it be?

The federal government could be cut by close to half with no impact without AI; the problem is general legal protections for fed employees and EEO protections. If you are NOT a white male, you will never be fired, even for performance, because you can sue, and the office you work for has to pay legal fees out of budget, which they likely can’t afford. If you are a white male, there is still tons of documentation to go through, and if you are well liked, senior management will likely just try to find a new home for you rather than fire you. AI will just eliminate the dumb white collars (plenty of those today, not so much in 1970s). The smart ones will become more productive and more valuable by incorporating AI tools into their workflow.

    After Forever

Have you ever thought about your soul can it be saved?

Or perhaps you think that when you're dead you just stay in your grave

Is God just a thought within your head or is he a part of you?

Is Christ just a name that you read in a book when you were in school?

When you think about death do you lose your breath or do you keep your cool?

Would you like to see the Pope on the end of a rope do you think he's a fool?

Well I have seen the truth, yes I've seen the light and I've changed my ways

And I'll be prepared when you're lonely and scared at the end of our days

Could it be you're afraid of what your friends might say If they knew you believe in God above?

They should realize before they criticize That God is the only way to love

Is your mind so small that you have to fall In with the pack wherever they run

Will you still sneer when death is near And say they may as well worship the sun?

I think it was true it was people like you that crucified Christ

I think it is sad the opinion you had was the only one voiced

Will you be so sure when your day is near, say you don't believe?

You had the chance but you turned it down, now you can't retrieve

Perhaps you'll think before you say that God is dead and gone

Open your eyes, just realize that he's the one

The only one who can save you now from all this sin and hate

Or will you still jeer at all you hear, yes I think it's too late
