I see this and wonder, can that be my troop. Yup, it was. These people need publicity before it gets this far, but welcome to NM. Here is another bit of her brain for God knows who to ponder.

From what my wife, who is a doctor, is telling me, it won’t be long before most physician’s are employed by hospitals, and those who are not, won’t be able to survive.

Thanks for reminding me. I knew there was a reason I went, with 2 others, for a Powder Horn training. Now my daughter wants to go for a Wood Badge training. No offense to our council, but the Grand Canyon council rocks!

Alot of minorities can only be described as racists... it is what keeps that chip on their shoulder, which is so important, for some reason. My son left his all Native American charter mid school, because he got tired of all the racist remarks towards white people. I grew up on the reservation, but thanks to my parents, we left, and I went to public Jr. High and HS, and was able to go to college and grad school. My kids will go far because we encourage them to be apart of a great society. Course, many of my relatives still remain on the Rez, and eagerly vote Democrat, hoping now for a bailout. When you look at Red/Blue map, you can see all of the reservations in South Dakota. Some people just can’t see what’s in front of them, and can’t let go of what is behind.
My son starts a new charter HS on Monday and could not be more thrilled. It is still about half minority, but very diverse. He is probably the only Native student in the school, and has no problem with that. He just made Life Scout and did his Philmont trek last month.

Reminds me of the Government commodity program that still exists on the Indian reservations, here. This food might actually be better then the surplus food we used to get. (Imagine canned meat that was 50% gelatin?) I do not miss those days, one bit. I guess they might have to wait until we can get some Whole Food chains in there. It's difficult to complain about food quality when it's free!
