  • Scientists reveal mechanistic link between zinc levels and diabetes (Zinc helps fatty liver and diabetes)

Yes, so true! My liver enzyme ALT was elevated (67 or higher) for years on a low carb diet, but with frequent snacking throughout the day. I stopped the snacking and now eat only 2 meals a day (11am and 5pm so an 18 hour IF) and my liver enzymes are back to where they should be.

Sounds similar to what I have, if so, then you may be seeing the vitreous hyaloid. In my case I had a PVD resulting in a torn retina which was lasered by a retinologist to prevent a retinal detachment.

You may want to see an ophthalmologist.

    Dear tired&retired,

The Jesus of the scriptures is the one that Moses wrote about (John 5:47), the great “I AM” (John 8:58), who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), who lived a perfect life — and paid the dreadful debt — by giving his life a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28), so that he might seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10), for all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him (Matthew 28:18).

The Jesus you proclaim is not the Jesus of the scriptures, but is someone you have conjured up in your mind by twisting the scriptures. Your Jesus does not exist. You are being deceived by the evil one, and will die in your sins as Jesus has warned (John 8:24).

“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.” (Isaiah 55:1)

“He said to me: ‘It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.’ ... ‘I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star. The Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let the one who hears say, Come! Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.’” (Revelation 21 & 22)

Turn away from your false Christ.

Turn to the real Jesus of the scriptures. He will give you true life in this world and in the world that is to come.

Perhaps I misunderstand, but this reads like a Theology of Glory, through a type of prosperity gospel.

It is interesting that an old sermon from R.C. Sproul played this morning (link below) as I read your post. The sermon touches on the Theology of Glory, and rather directs us Scripturally to Christ and the Theology of the Cross.

    I hope you might listen?

I hope this works for you....!

Your description brought back memories, and not in a good way.

I had a 2009 truck which was the first year that Ford introduced EPAS (electronic steering) module to their F150 platform. It last all of 24k miles before giving up the ghost and getting it replaced under warranty.

The replacement EPAS lasted to about 38k and after a lot of haggling paid $500 out of pocket, and Ford covered the rest of the $1600 pricetag.

Soon afterwards I got rid of that truck (and Ford) and switched over to a Toyota 4Runner which has been great so far.

There are a lot of problems with the Ford EPAS system.

  • How does one kill crazy ants (tawny ants) here in the South Central Texas region?

I too had a terrible infestation of crazy ants - multitudes of nesting sites outdoors (trees, stumps, power line poles, etc), with numerous places where they were starting to infiltrate the house. It was remarkable!

I read through all the comments in this thread, and two people provided the absolute best remedy given my experience: Termidor SC which consists of fipronil.

The ants walk through the dried spray (outside where you spray) and it contaminates them but does not kill immediately. They take it back to their nest(s) while contaminating each other ant-to-ant. The nest(s) and queen are dead within days.

The product is very easy to apply outside, but be sure that conditions are dry, and will be for a day or two after application. It is available online, such as Amazon, but I usually buy it from these people:

This will solve your problem efficiently and affordably.

A few more points and I’m done:

    1. Fipronil has worked extremely well and has been safe in my experience. If you follow the instructions for ant control for Termidor, you’d be spraying a 0.06% concentrated spray of Fipronil. I use Frontline to kill fleas & ticks on my dogs (it is applied directly at the base of the neck and it spreads throughout the coat via the oil glands), and it has a 9.8% concentration of Fipronil.

    2. The article you quoted mentions the use of Fipronil but also says, “These treatments are often breeched within 2-3 months post application.” I’ve not experienced that in my use of Fipronil. I live in a mountainous area: real 4 seasons if you ignore droughts & floods, and spraying 2x yearly since 2010 is all I’ve needed.

    3. Quicken software tells me that I purchased Termidor in 2010 from the following company:

    http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/

Amazon doesn’t sell this product directly, and some reviews on Amazon are claiming that their seller, “WeSellDirect”, are not selling a legitimate version of Termidor? Don’t know about that. So be careful.

    Take care & good luck....

Yep, that is the product, “Termidor” (Fipronil). It is well worth your time to read the reviews at Amazon. Get it, follow the instructions, and be amazed.

I should have written “colonies” for “Fipronil solved the problem and killed off the entire colony.”

There were many (many) colonies of these ants all around: in the trees, along the power line that goes to the house, in the house, etc...

I tried some of the other remedies mentioned by others in this post. These ants are not attracted to baits or any natural remedies. Waste of time.

I finally came across Fipronil (via Termidor) and sprayed it according to directions. The ants walk through the Fipronil, it gets on them, and they carry it back to their colony where it passes ant-to-ant and soon (not immediately) kills them all off.

Within 3 days of spraying Fipronil the ants were significantly diminished in number. Within 5 days there were stragglers here and htere. Within 7 days they were gone.

A $60 bottle of Termidor has a shelf life of 5 years (which really means 10 years) and I’ll probably use it up within 6-7 years spraying 2x a year. The pest control company charged $100 to lay out worthless baits on their first and only visit. Termidor is my pest control company now.

This is my first post here (long time reader!) but I had a problem with these ants and the pest control company didn’t have a clue; of course the baits didn’t work, etc...

Fipronil solved the problem and killed off the entire colony. I purchased Termidor (it is mentioned in the article) since it is Fipronil; same chemical used in Frontline for pet flea & tick control. If you haven’t tried Fipronil, then get some Termidor and I bet it will solve your problem. I apply it twice a year - spring & fall when it is dry & no rain for several days - takes about 15 minutes to spray outside along the foundation, power boxes, windows, etc.

You can buy Termidor online, such as Amazon, etc... Works great on these ants, and other insects too.
