Anything can happen. Although we are on defense right now, if we get a good Presidential candidate with long-coattails we can recapture the Senate and the House. It is difficult to envision McCain, Romney or Giuliani having coattails but do not be surprised if Governor Pawlenty runs for President and provides the boost that we will need for 2008.
Now ObraGore is challenging the results. He is threatening to throw the Mexican electoral system into chaos and has called for a major protest in the Zocalo this Saturday..talk about being a sore loser!
ObraGore now will challenge the results, reminiscent of Al Gore in the 2000 election. Thank God that Calderon won because Obrador would have been a major disaster!

I understand your point but I also know a couple in their 40's that knew they were going to have a Down's Syndrome baby and sued their doctors after the birth of a severely retarded child because " the doctors did not advised them to abort the child" and now "our life is miserable". Or what about the woman that sued the doctor because he told her she was obese and a high risk for heart disease and she sued him "because he hurt my feelings". She lost in court and in less that a year she was dead of a massive infarct...call it poetic justice.
Nowadays physicians are seen as techs by certain patients, no loyalty, a "just give me my medicine" mentality. But things are changing because physicians are seeing patients now as "an insurance number" and are excluding from their practices patients that have crappy insurances (such as Cigna, Oxford, Medicare, Medicaid, and Aetna) in favor of PPO's, Blue Cross/Blue SHield or cash-paying customers. This is the beginning of the total decline and collapse in our health care delivery which will give opportunists like Hillary Clinton and the liberal left to propose new strategies in the health system that amount to socialized medicine.

I agree. Enough said. Barry Bonds the ultimate cheater, a total disgrace to baseball. Remember that Palmeiro said he had never used steroids until he was caught. Now we have a lot of evidence that these three swindlers, Bonds, McGwire and Sosa, used enhancing drugs to cheat the American past-time. Where is McCain now? They should strip from these hypocrites all their records.
I know that a lot of Freepers do not like Giuliani but the former NYC Mayor seems on the verge of becoming the prohibitive favorite to win the GOP nomination in 2008. Unfortunately, Senator Allen is not catching fire...I could envision a Giuliani-Brownback ticket.
