It had been the worst week of our lives before September 11 even happened. Eight days before, we had been at the Minnesota State Fair with my mother-in-law, something that was a yearly tradition with my husband’s family, something we were beginning with our kids since we moved to MN. She had complained of stomach pain all day, and had to take numerous breaks to just sit down. The next day, they found a large tumor on her pancreas, and a few days later - diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. My husband was her only child and they had really only had each other all his life... It was devastating to all of us.

The morning of September 11, I had gotten up to get our oldest ready for school. He was 7 years old. He was in the shower, getting ready for his day. We were going to the hospital after breakfast to see my mother in law as she was still in the hospital. I sat down on the floor and I put the local news on, the Fox Station, and I saw the first building burning. People were saying it was an explosion, others said it was a plane, some said it was a small commuter jet, others said it was a commercial jet... I didn’t even have a chance to get up and sit on the couch. I just sat there on the floor in front of the TV. I could not look away.

I immediately changed to Fox News. Jon Scott was at the desk. Then it happened and I saw the second plane hit. I knew this day would change everyone’s lives. I could not fathom it, HOW could this happen? What else was going to happen? All those people... ALL those people! My mind wondered, how many people are in these buildings on any given day? How many JUST DIED, while I was here, in my living room? What hell were they enduring?

Sebastian got out of the shower, got dressed, and came in the room. He said, “Why are you crying, Mom?” I don’t even remember this, but he reminds me every year. I couldn’t even really put the words together. I didn’t want to scare him and make him wonder in his seven year old mind what horrible thing might happen here? What might be next? So I told him there was an plane accident in New York City and the police and firefighters were doing everything they could to help the people that might be hurt. I told him everything would be OK and not to worry...

I went and woke up my husband, telling him that there was a terrorist attack in New York and he looked at me like I was insane. He said, “What? That’s not funny. Are you kidding?” So he got up and we watched the news. We got our son off to school, and came back to watch the news. Cried, prayed, cried, prayed... Watched the buildings fall, all those innocents... GONE, just gone.

We went to the hospital later that morning, after the buildings had collapsed, after the Pentagon had been attacked, after the fourth plane crashed, no one knowing the courage aboard that flight. It was surreal... People just were standing there, everyone looking at each other with their hearts broken, shocked, hurt. It was so quiet that day. I had parked on the roof of the hospital parking garage, where we usually parked. To say it was eerie would be an understatement. A sky normally filled with helicopters, commuter planes, commercial jets of all sizes... there was nothing. Only an unsettling calm, like the quiet of a graveyard. There seemed to be no noise. It was odd to look on the sky with NOTHING flying in it.

That night we went to the gas station and filled up both our vehicles, as there was talk of gas shortages... We bought some extra food... We stayed really close to each other...

It was the worst day of my life, in every way.

To me, it is like a wound that will never heal. I wasn’t even anywhere close to New York on that horrible day, but it feels like part of me died along with all those others. My innocence about how truly evil human beings can be maybe. My faith was a little shaken, too - asking God, WHY did this happen? WHY? I listened to a lot of Christian radio that day, listened to people discuss a justified war, that vengeance is the Lord’s, that as a nation, we would be right to act.

I don’t know that I started to really feel anything other than deep sorrow and anger until President Bush went to Ground Zero, grabbed that bullhorn, and said, “I hear you, the rest of the world hears you, and the people that knocked these buildings down will hear ALL of us soon!” That day, I really felt like we were NOW going to DO something to avenge our dead, that there was going to be JUSTICE.

And I was so thankful that President Bush was in the White House.

He, and those like him, make me sick. I still cannot believe, only 10 years after the attacks, that when I turn on the news, I see “President Obama.” I cannot believe we’ve elected Barack Hussein Obama, whose family is the SAME religion of those who have been KILLING Americans, Jews, and Christians (and everyone else they are able to kill or mutilate). It is disgusting and our great national SHAME.

Years on, when people really get to the meat of who he is, who his other associations are, the world is going to be shocked that we actually elected the ENEMY to lead our great country.

His comments right after 9/11 are truly despicable and unforgivable. If McCain had said anything even remotely close to Obama’s blame America first view, he would have been torn to shreds in the “media.”

You nailed it! That’s exactly my line of thinking over the last 3 years. What is scary, unlike the loons that believe Bush was responsible for 9/11, we know MANY others who feel the exact same way, many who have the same fears, the same constant nagging worry that those in power are here to DESTROY. It is like the deep fears, the unconscious rumblings, have come to life and we see it all in this administration.

It is a national nightmare. I wish I could wake up from it.

I am sick to effin death of this wide-a$$ed loud mouth and her “anti-obesity” campaign! It’s on Nickelodeon, it’s on Disney, it’s all around school with their push for salad bars and flavored cardboard whole wheat buns! They’ve got the “Let’s Move” and now Nick is doing “The World Day of Play.” The commercial says something to the effect of, “Come play with us while we fight childhood obesity and promote healthier living!” Ummm.... stupid! How do the kids “play with” these people when they are a TV channel and more interested in kids parking their rears on the couch? The entire premise is STUPID! And annoying!

I swear, if I see her huge head and huge rear playing basketball in that ugly as sin green and yellow get-up that doesn’t even match while the kids are trying to watch a cartoon after school, I’m gonna put my foot through the damn TV.

That is the post of the day. That is exactly what it is like.

They are like the mob, shaking down who they can in the neighborhood for more money, knocking on more doors, kicking in more doors, and bullying who they can into doing just what they want. The Obama Mob.

This is truly astonishing. When does this become IMPEACHABLE?!?! We had Clinton impeached for lying under oath in regards to an affair with a fat intern! Here, we are talking about thousands of weapons being sent to Chicago gangs, Mexican cartels, and God only knows who else.

I am trying to connect all the dots, but it feels like this is only the beginning, that this is going to get worse, and once we start getting to the real meat of this administration, we are going to find that we have had the devil behind the wheel. We all know the administration is filled with socialists, Marxists, communists, and radicals of all other forms. That is obvious. But what I don’t believe is that any of us have any idea how truly dangerous and evil they are.

I’m reminded of Obama’s “civilian army” comments... He did not say how that goal would be achieved or who would be “serving.”

This admin had come to divide, conquer, and destroy. Stay together, Freepers! We are all going to need each other in a serious way soon.

The fact that Chastity Bono, whether SHE calls HERSELF Chastity or Chaz, is on the show at all is enough legitimization and promoting of the homosexual agenda for me. They put here there BECAUSE she is who/what she is.

I really hoped I wouldn’t see this day so soon. He really is a visionary and his ability to create has changed our world in so many ways. I will be praying for him!

Google maps estimates 36-48 minutes to drive just to the ferry from Oslo. So from the map, it looks like it’s just over 1000 feet off the coast. The ferry couldn’t have been more than 5 or 10 minutes.

That gives him anywhere from 40-60 minutes from the time the bombs went off. Theoretically, plenty of time for him to do this all himself, but I have read an article that states that there was shooting coming from two separate places on the island at the exact same time. It appears that Breivik had an accomplice. I wonder if this person could be among those that had been at the camp as campers and was then evacuated out as a victim.
