I have two, they work ok. For the price they are fine, but I don't believe they are FCC type approved for the ham bands. I find the xmit to be weak, it does receive well, I have one in the car as a backup 2M rig. I spend 99% of radio time on HF, so I have little use for a 2m HT. I bought the cheap ones because I don't use 2m that often and really couldn't justify the price of a Icom HT. All said, for a new ham it is nice first radio, and cheap enough I would buy it for a younger ham just getting into the hobby.
