The freest election in history is what I am talking about. Do you think we have ‘freer’ elections here or there in Egypt...or is this Egyptian election really the ‘freest’ election ever? I wasn’t disputing the result of the election, just don’t believe it was the ‘freest’ in history.

“I dont buy it at all. I know many Democratic voters, Minnesota Democrats, that are still in love with Obama, but dont support this tax the rich plan of Daytons. “
I hope you’re right. I’ve seen some democrats I work with talking in hushed tones about politics but at least outwardly they profess to be backing Dayton as well.
“Last time I checked, its still legal to leave Minnesota and be a top earner in a state that has lower taxes. :)”
If it were only so easy. :-) I live in Michelle Bachman’s conservative district, so living with likeminded people, but house values have disappeared everywhere. Been trying to sell the house for a year and a half. Only way to get rid of it I guess is to give it away. Sigh.

“It a Minnesota Poll by the Star Trib it over samples Democrats by about 10 points”
Without thinking about point spreads, just the thought that there are so many out there that believe that scares me. Hard to get ahead in life with so many trying to pull you down.

I’ve tried explaining to a few democrats here that raising taxes on the rich raises their own taxes but they’ll have none of that. It’s always just republicans that are rich in their opinion. It’s never based on factual information but just grand ideas of making someone else take care of the problem.
Minnesota, the land of 10,000 taxes and soak the rich ideology. It ceases to amaze me the lengths people will go to feel good about themselves in a bad economy. Make everyone feel the pain and then we'll all be fine?
“As the Tea Party grows, it attracts fringe people who are not fiscal conservatives, but social conservatives.”
I disagree with you wholeheartedly. Last time I checked, social conservatives were majority. Check how many states that have passed ant-gay marriage laws etc. Fiscal conservatives appear to be fringe people judging by what we have gotten with wasteful spenders in Bush and Obama.
