    Dear PGR88

We can't afford to lose this election . If Obama win, we expect to see the Iraqi mass exodus .We can't afford another Vietnam exodus . Joe Biden was unsympathetic toward 130000 Vietnamese refugees after communists took over Vietnam . Joe Biden will do the same to Iraqi refugees and millions Iraqi will be killed by terrorists or by seas .

Some may call it a burden, but we take pride in treasuring that part of our history. We understand the price of freedom and what it means to sacrifice for the love of one’s country. And we will stand with the leader who lives and leads by such values and who inspires us all to serve a cause greater than our self-interest.

We have found such a leader in John McCain. Senator McCain’s life symbolizes the timeless quintessential American story. A man of courage and compassion, McCain has the character and leadership of the next American president. Like the South Vietnamese struggle for democracy, McCain epitomizes our community’s values of patriotism, compassion, hope and freedom.

We seize upon his candidacy with immense pride – yet we haven’t discussed it often with individuals outside of our community.

The future of our democracy lies with our young citizens who honor the sacrifices of those who stand ready when their country needs them. As a young American naval aviator, McCain fought heroically in Vietnam to protect American honor and values; in doing so, he fought for our freedom as well. Captured by the enemy and badly hurt, McCain rejected the Viet Cong’s offer of an early release and demanded that every man arrested before him be released. As a result, he was imprisoned and tortured for five and a half years. In making that first courageous choice, McCain has shown his unwavering faith, strong character, and leadership ability early on in his life.

McCain’s qualifications extend beyond his character. As testimony to his “Country First” political philosophy, McCain led a bipartisan group of Republican and Democratic senators that worked tirelessly to resolve the stalemate in Congress on issues such as campaign finance reform, tobacco, health care, immigration policy, and judicial nominations. Senator McCain’s political courage and fiercely independent personality has earned him tremendous respect from independents and Democrats alike.

Our country is in a time of war, with ongoing conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Through our own hard-earned experiences, we understand the consequences of losing a war. The recent Russian invasion of Georgia threatens the future of democracy and freedom in that region and reminds us once again the dangerously volatile nature of foreign affairs and the necessity of a strong and wise American leadership. With substantial experience in military affairs and foreign policy, McCain is best qualified to confront the threat of radical Islamic extremism and to delivery victory in Iraq. His refusal to play politics with the Iraq war and his support for the “surge” strategy shows a rare combination of vision, judgment and principled leadership during a time of crisis.

As Vietnamese Americans who believe that Senator John McCain is uniquely qualified to lead our nation, we have been handed an unprecedented opportunity to express our gratitude for his sacrifices. Recognizing this opportunity also demands us to act.

We can begin by announcing our support for Senator McCain and the sources of its inspiration to our friends, our co-workers, and our neighbors; by registering to vote, writing editorials to the newspaper, and organizing people to volunteer for his campaign. We can become better Vietnamese-Americans and begin to voice our concerns in politics at the national stage.

In this election, we are given the chance to speak up in one voice and tell the world of our struggles and of our success in a freedom-loving nation.

With President McCain, America will move forward with strength, prosperity, wisdom and compassion. A victory for McCain is also a victory for our community and for the advancement of human rights and democracy in Vietnam. We humbly ask you to vote Senator McCain for our next president and join in the nationwide effort to secure a total victory on Election Day.

In the same Magazine, issued Oct.31-2007, Nguyen Nhu Phong, Colonel of Security, has written with his intrigue as hilarious mockery with dirty style of writing “Both Lawyers Dai & Nhan are living in the prison they got fuller enough than when they were outside”. As so writing, Mrs. Dai, maid name Vu Minh Khanh went angry, she has written her polemic for reaction spread through the Internet news sites and blogs as to wake him up to his fact .

The reactive polemic of Mrs. Dai aims to be widely issuing to the readers from both sides Vietnamese & Americans in order to correct what was violated by Communist Government of Vietnam with its intention to insult The US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) with such the bad words. In addition, they had clearly violated the Freedom of Religion in Vietnam as aiming at the intrigue of destroying the increased Diplomatically Relationship between Vietnamese & American Governments.

To unveil a conspiracy of this time, their target is to ignite those who go against among members of Committee as profiting when they were activists of Religious Movement for Country Damage. The Committee has taken for years the advantage of the word Independent for wrong news transmission & slandering Religious Movement of Vietnam.

As so far, Committee’s activities couldn’t show their voluntary as good will requested from some members to go against the policies of both Vietnam and America, and to disclose the conspiracy to profit Religion & Human rights to destroy beautiful Relationship between Vietnam and the U.S, to insinuate the Americans who were main culprits to make war that the consequence couldn’t be restored.

The Vietnamese “Worldly Security Magazine”, one of the Magazines which are representatives of Communist Government of Vietnam, has used bad words from dirty style of writing to insult the delegation of US Commission on International Religious Freedom. This written paper of a true topic has been passed by the censor and sent to American Embassy of Hanoi in order to transmit it to all of the members of the Religious Committee as well as U.S Congress.

The Government of the United States of America has well known the Communist of Vietnam who was not to be trusted, “When meeting joyfully shaking hand, when behind one’s back throw the blame on us.”

As above speaking the news to judge to appeal cases in Court concerning both Lawyers Dai & Nhan on Nov. 27th-2007 in Hanoi, as normally two weeks before the judgment of any Court with serious crimes, the Communist Government of Vietnam will expand the use of mass media, communication and culture to propagate fascist propaganda to insult the Dependents.

The People in Vietnam may have their result ahead of the judgment when listening to the radio or reading the News Papers, it won’t be necessary to wait for the judgment day.

  • Poison have been found in Vietnamese Prison [Tran Khai Thanh Thuy]

Aminopterin , a rat poison chemical have been found in her prison meal lately. According to Doctor Thuy Trang, Aminopterin is illegal to use as rat poison in the United States but is used as a cancer-fighting drug, Leukemia, etc. China has been using this substance to produce rat poison in the form of small colorful balls that look like candies. In the Northern part of Vietnam, villages near China border, many Vietnamese children have been killed by eating this poison . Aminopterin is poisonous, and surely any man who consumes daily amount of it shall fall ill and die. Information on this poison can be found in the site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aminopterin .

Thuy was among eight Vietnamese writers who received the prestigious Hellman/Hammett award in February from Human Rights Watch, which recognizes courage in the face of political persecution. According to PEN Canada: Tran Khai Thanh Thuy was apparently briefly detained on 2 September 2006 for her Internet writings, followed by three weeks of daily interrogation sessions. She was again briefly detained on 11 October 2006 and interrogated about the essays 'The Grotto', 'Self-Narration' and 'Dialogue' written after her detention in September. She was also reportedly brought to an open ‘People’s Court’, in which members of the public are forced to participate in the abuse and humiliation of those accused.

Human Rights Watch and other human rights groups say Vietnam's Communist authorities are involved in the most severe crackdown in decades apparently for fear of losing their power base at a time when people, emboldened by economic reforms, are searching for alternatives to the Communist ideology.

Tran Khai thanh Thuy was arrested again on April 21, 2007 after a warrant was obtained accusing her of "violation of Article 88 of the Penal Code, which makes it criminal to spread propaganda against the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam". The Vietnamese Security Police said that Ms. Tran Khai Thanh Thuy is a member of the Bloc 8406, a Pro-Democratic Movement that recently broadcasted their articles demanding the Human Rights for the people. Police also accused Ms. Tran of organizing an independent Labor League and supporting a Human Rights Committee that consists of many anti-government figures.

Mr. Do Ba Tan, Thuy’s husband, reported that his wife was arrested and hand cuffed at an Internet-Café not far from their house while she was purchasing medicine to treat her tuberculosis and diabetes. The police then took her home and read the warrant then thorough searched the house. Until April 23, 2007, three days after her arrest, the husband did not know her status and whereabouts. Ms. Tran Khai Thanh Thuy shouted the anti-communist slogan and protested the anti-constitutional arrest.

On March, 21, 2007, before the arrest, she was brought to hospital for her serious tuberculosis. In jail, she has been terrorized and poisoned. It has been 6 months since then; the authorities jailed her without due process and trial. At the Hanoi Police interrogation house, 87 Tran Hung Dao Street- Hanoi, the police tried adding more crimes to her case. They accused her of receiving the fund from anti-communist Vietnamese exiles, and cheating on the people whom she had helped. Hanoi Police has continuously tried many times to force her to admit more crimes in order to bring her to the court. Ms. Tran is now believed being detained at 84 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hanoi, a short distance from the interrogation house, an old prison that was built in 1953. Ms. Tran's health has been deteriorating badly.
