Rotten Tomatoes is at it again. They are cheating their scores. Case in point...yesterday MATHEW DEKINDER's review was 3 out of 5 stars, but HE rated the movie rotten. At that point, The Marvels had a ROTTEN All Critics score of 56. This could not stand! A Disney/Marvel movie CANNOT have a ROTTEN score leading into the first weekend! By some miracle Mathew's 3/5 got re-interpreted into a FRESH review! So out of nowhere last Wednesday I had the sweats followed by the chills. On Thursday the fever was gone - not that it was much, just 100.1 - to be replaced with a dry cough and extreme fatigue. I tried to get tested. My doc referred me to a testing center that couldn't see me for a week. I checked out both CVS and Walgreens, but nothing anywhere near me for about a week. We just discovered here at work that we cannot access the company account on line and several employees cannot access the web site or mobile site. Why didn’t Albuquerque vote for the late-term abortion ban? Why would they? People won’t value life if they don’t know they’re valued by God. If we’re just the result of an accident, what difference does partial birth abortion make? None, really.

There was a strange bright object handing in the sky over Albuquerque on Saturday evening, around 7:00pm. The VERY quickly disseminated story was that it was a high altitude weather balloon. It was stationary for the over 15 minutes I watched it. Since they test all sorts of stuff out here I thought the story was a little fishy. Do weather balloon hang motionless in the sky for long periods of time?

The voters of Rio Rancho voted down a $22 million bond proposal yesterday by a more than 2 to 1 margin. The proposal - which was strongly opposed by the local Tea Party - would have raised money to repair roads and to expand and extend existing roads. City officials claimed that the bond was needed as general revenues were not sufficient to maintain existing roads. The Tea Party claimed that with recent increases in the Gross Receipt (Sales) Tax and property taxes general revenues should be sufficient. With the economy in sad shape I have heard reports of people changing their gift giving habits this year. As the owner of a company that produces custom gifts, I would like to hear from Freepers what plans they have for gifts - both personal and business - this season. Are you planning on giving more, less, or the same? Are you cutting back on who you are giving to or are you giving to the same number of people, but changing the value of the gifts? Are you planning on giving more "home made" gifts? If so, what kind?

We are customers of McLeodUSA Communications. They serve businesses and customers in several states. Our phones went down two hours ago and there is no answer from customer service. I did finally get through to someone in sales who told me that it was a "nationwide, catastrophic failure" and that all of the their techs are working on it. Is anyone else a McLeodUSA customer or is any other network having issues?

My parents live in a large condominium complex surrounding a beautiful natural lake. A while ago it was discovered that a twelve foot long alligator calls the lake home. The residents ignored the gator until one day the gator strayed from the lake, went into a nearby swimming pool and threatened the swimmers. The residents banded together and, with the help of animal control, chased the gator out of the pool and back to the lake. I heard a blurb on Rush's show asking for suggestions on what we should call the anniversary of 9/11. I am personally leaning towards Liberty Day - the day that will ultimately lead us to liberty from terrorism. Just as the Fourth of July was just a beginning, so September 11th was just a begining. The independence declared on July 4, 1776 took years to come to fruition. Similarly the tears we shed on September 11, 2001 will water the flowers of liberty for generations yet to come.
