The more international spotlight a story like this gets, the greater the likelihood that, if it is true, then international pressure will force the Burmese military to cut this vile behavior out and put the offending officers behind bars where they belong, or else castrate them.

What about the lifespan difference of pigs versus humans?

If pigs have a much shorter life span, which I believe they do, then it is likely that their organs also will wear out much quicker than the human counterparts.

I am not sure I agree that the female brain is better at philology, as this author states, although it is possible.

I would also argue that men often are better numismatics, at least since so few women seem to be attracted to this field.

This article does seem to vindicate and substantiate much of what Governor Arnold Swarzenegger has been talking about at the California capitol since he took office, which he first expounded on in his movie 'Total Recall'.

I know that I disagree with a lot of political pundits and analysts on CNN who think Arnold is not as bright as his twin brother, Danny DeVito.

Arnold would be just as "street smart" as Danny, if he had not committed himself to body building, the way he has.

Russia claims that this terrorist school bombing and the numbing childhood atrocities are their 9-11.

If Russia goes through the wrenching psychological re-evaluation of national identity that America went through because of our 9-11, then they will emerge a very different society from their mostly xenophobic past.

I worry that any new extremism in Russia, if it occurs because of this horrendous event, will be highly unpredictable.

I take it from your reply that you favor the massive, wholesale number of public school name changes away from the proud heritage of southerners.

After all, remember, southerners are bona fide Americans, too, aren't they?

The elimination of anybody's heritage should not be done without publicly discussing and thoroughly understanding the immense psychic and reputational damage it does to the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of these southern leaders, who still bear their last names.

These current day families and their off-springs are part of our shared national heritage, because their forefathers and foremothers by their acknowledged leadership roles during a time of gut-wrenching civil war, are interwoven into the very fabric of our nation's history .

I have always felt that there were at least two sides to every hot, broiling, extended, public controversy.

Thanks for sharing your opinion, it is very interesting.

I guess the southern die-hards don’t want to see their public schools renamed.

This is one war of frazzled nerves that never seems to end.
