I really resent your comment that it is welfare. I maxed out FICA for many, many years. If they mishandled the funds doesn’t make me a welfare recipient. If we had been allowed to invest the money we paid we would be receiving much more substantial benefits. If your bank goes belly up does that mean you never had any savings?

Leo Donofrio is a patriot. He is also an attorney and very smart man. In the past he has done things at great personal risk in an effort to protect our republic. He deserves our thanks and respect.

If Trump were convicted on the present impeachment he would lose his Secret Service protection, his pension of $255,000 a year, and other things. I would love to see Assange and Snowden pardoned, but Trump has his family and himself to consider, and I would rather he have a peaceful life. I appreciate all his efforts on our behalf.

Nobody seems to remember that the Supreme Court has two docketed cases calendared for 1/22, if I remember correctly. Maybe Mr. Navarro produced this report in support of those arguments.

Originally the republic was the united States of America. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is a Washington D.C. corporation. Check into President Trump turning power over to FEMA last March. He also managed to put the Federal Reserve under the Department of the Treasury. This all could get very interesting. I had a few occasions to be involved in lawsuits where Donald Trump was a party many years ago. I can tell you from personal experience that he didn’t always win, but he never came to lose.

I was wishing for a better attorney than Giuliani, who is a headline chaser. I’m sure he’s useful in certain situations, but he’s far from the best.

No. I live near Ma Barker’s house. They moved it across the lake a couple of years ago. The property was too valuable for an empty old house. Yet it’s still vacant. They recreated the shootout every year. If I’d gone to school with Glenn Jarrett when I was young, I would have chased him down and never let him get away. The only track, old and new, in the east I haven’t been to is Talladega, and I’m seriously considering taking my grandsons before I’m too old. On my bucket list. I’m so old I remember Fireball Roberts, and that Ned pulled him out of a burning car at Darlington, and he died of his injuries on the 4th of July. I’ve probably forgotten more about NASCAR than most people will ever know.

I worked in the NYC courts, and I heard about the evils of baby powder in a case I was working when my daughter was maybe six, born in 1971. I threw it all out, never used the stuff again. I had younger kids, too. I tried to warn friends, but they thought I was nuts. Look how many years it took for this info to finally hit the mainstream. I also worked a case where GM decided that it wasn’t worth a 25 cent part to keep kids safer in the back of station wagons. Manufacturers weigh the risks and decide they’d rather pay the claims. Really sad.

It is much harder to get a conviction on a retrial. The transcript from the first trial will be used to impeach the witnesses. Were you lying then, or are you lying now? People don’t use the exact same words to tell a story every time. I never worked a mistrial that didn’t include an Allen charge.

I had a dog six weeks less than 18 years. He became diabetic, went blind, became deaf, and eventually a little senile. He got sick first, then my husband was diagnosed with cancer. The dog took a tremendous amount of care. My husband was jealous of the care the dog got. He should have been thankful. If I could care that much about a dog, think how much more I cared about him. The dog passed in August and my husband the next April. It’s been more than two years now, and I miss them both terribly. The sweet love of a wonderful dog is a different kind of love, but love nonetheless. Yes, I have more dogs now. No more puppies. I’m too old to give a puppy a forever home. I have two that were picked up running loose and another one that was sold on Craigslist when she was no longer a useful breeder. Every living thing deserves a loving home. They have that now.

Big error on their part. It’s a good company that will end up out of business. I don’t own a gun, don’t want a gun. But I went through the NYPD firearm training class when I was young. I can shoot okay at a range, but I don’t have the right disposition to handle a gun in a panic situation. I love concealed carry guns in the right hands. I worked in court and every cop that came in had a marksman badge above their shield. It was rare to see a cop with an expert badge. That meant that most cops couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. My husband was one of the rare ones with an expert badge. I wanted my husband to volunteer to do security at my grandson’s school. He explained to me that the liability would destroy us if he ever used his gun. NRA offers some kind of insurance, but it probably wouldn’t cover that situation. Too bad. If there had been more cops like him the airports could have been more pleasant. He can tell you just by watching who is up to no good. I have grandchildren in schools today. I want them to be safe and come home every day. No one knows how they would react in a bad situation. I’m sure there are people who have been in war zones and are cool under pressure, but not everyone that has a gun and has been properly trained in its use is the right person to put in a school. I think about the cops responding to a shooting outside the Empire State Building when there were a number of pedestrians shot, and every one of them was hit by a police bullet. But I’m sure even though I have zero interest in belonging to the NRA, I’m not the only person that will boycott any business that makes any move against them. I will vote with my dollars.

I’ve learned to live with bugs and vermin, but I can’t abide snakes. I don’t want to hurt them, but I don’t want to see them, either. I’m mad at my husband for dying and leaving me to fend for myself with snakes. He was a manly man that didn’t want to work. I worked and earned like a man from the genesis of women’s lib. He spent more time with the kids than I did. He was devastated when I retired ten years early due to a medical condition. He was robbed. He should have had another ten peaceful years in a bar, not having to put up with my nonsense. Do I miss him? Yes. Would I replace him? Never. I managed to get through Irma by myself. I’ll just listen to some Gloria Gaynor and do the best I can. I’m disgusted by the women who have followed. I worked so hard to kick down doors that were closed to women. If I knew then what I know now I would have become a school crossing guard.

  • The Rift Between President Trump and AG Sessions is Very Real and Very Valid…

Watch Sessions, a nice man who I greatly respect, stick it out as AG, taking the hits from Trump’s tweet storms, until Chris Christie is through being governor of New Jersey. Everybody is pandering for Giuliani to step in. Big mistake. Giuliani is a self-important person who enjoyed the spotlight, but doesn’t know how to share it. He fired an excellent police commissioner for getting too much press. Whoever is going to go after the swamp has to be ready to go to the mattresses and know how to convict and make that conviction stick. If you look into the convictions of Giuliani and Preet, they look good on paper but don’t stand up on appeal. We don’t need big headlines, we need a ruthless bastard to go after the swamp and make sure they never get out. I think it would be foolish not to trust Trump. He knows where he’s got to get to, and he’s surrounded by a whole lot of swamp in the White House right now. Rome wasn’t built in a day. It has to be overwhelming to deal with all of these government employees when you’re used to dealing with people of your choosing who want to please you. I expect to see lots of shake ups and leavings at all levels as Trump gets his own people in place. I think we’re going to enjoy watching another Lyndon Johnson twisting both sides to his will, given a little time. I don’t think Sessions has the stomach for what is to come.
