I am from PG County, moved away 45 yrs ago. My father recently passed and was buried in Aspen Hill, I’m saddened because the area is so sketchy I’ll probably never go back.
I also remember being warned not to let my son (5 yrs old at the time) go into the bathroom alone in the Nordstrom’s Pioneer Square as it was infamous for gay hook ups.
I can’t wait for the next board meeting, it will be jam packed and “spicy”, I’m sure. The school board has spent a great deal of time this year developing a “parent policy” so they can kick any dissenters out of the school board meetings.
I am not completely sure. Normally it means that they teach something specialized there and I *think* in Woke Co it means you go to a “magnet” middle school first. Possibly even in elementary. It could mean that at least part of it is “magnet” or specialized and then part of it a normal school. Woke Co “reassigns” kids to schools every year so the concept of neighborhood schools is mostly dead here.
So at least some of the students are there for specialized learning. I am sorry that I don’t know more about that but we homeschooled our children and then put them in private school for high school. Woke Co schools were implementing Common Core among other things at the time, my children would pass at least two schools on the way to their assigned school and quite frankly, we did a much better job. Both of our children were National Merit Scholars and attended private colleges on scholarships. Our youngest graduated high school in 2012. I do frequently attend school board meetings where the board members mostly congratulate themselves for how many schools they go visit, how woke they are and very little attention is paid to academics or school safety.
My county. Homeschooled my kids. Woke County can’t hire bus drivers for middle and high school because the kids are violent. School board hired a bunch of DEI administrators and funded DEI training vs. metal detectors and school resource officers. Those are just band aids, IMHO. They just passed a bullying policy at the last school board meeting, what a lot of good that does. I’m sure the next school board meeting will be “spicy” to say the least. Lots of trans talk at the meetings but rarely academics, safety, etc.
I took Thalidimide for about a week, maybe 10 days. Made me nauseous and dizzy, fell and broke a wrist. Apparently, it is therapeutic for the skin and I have an auto-immune disease affecting the skin.
Prescribing doctors must be registered with whatever gov’t agency to dispense, patients must sign forms stating that they are on birth control (or had hysterectomies), women of child-bearing age must have monthly pregnancy tests in order for the pharmacy to dispense.
