Of course it will all be moot, because polygamy will soon be found to be a civil right by judicial decree. The case may already be working its way through the courts.

Polygamy won’t become judicially mandated because of some Mormon offshoot cult in Utah or some polyamorous group marriage in California. It is going to happen first in a case involving a Muslim family who immigrated here from a Muslim country where multiple wives are perfectly legal.

Is the husband now a bigamist because he came here with several lawfully married wives? Are wives 2 and 3 no longer entitled to their marriage rights and simply reduced to being concubines? It’s not fair! It is Muslim-ophobia! How can you deny them their rights to define marriage as a man and multiple wives, when that definition of marriage has been accepted in cultures around the world since the dawn of civilization, while same sex marriage did not exist anywhere on Earth 20 years ago.

Once the Muslim with 2 wives gets judicially recognized, then the Mormon offshoot cults and polyamorous group marriages will also be recognized.

The devolution of Western Civilization will then be complete.

Via three decisions last week, Scotus repealed free government.

The Constitution says whatever the Hell 5 out of 9 Supreme Court Justices say it says. Of course, that means that if you replace 1 or 2 Justices, a different 5 Justice majority can just as easily decide that the Constitution says the complete opposite.

Absent an armed revolt (which I am NOT advocating for any Obama Justice Department Officials who are monitoring this thread), then the only option for fixing the Constitution is to elect a CONSERVATIVE President who will appoint CONSERVATIVE Justices.

But what about a Constitutional Amendment, you may ask? Anyone else remember the Equal Rights Amendment? The Liberals did everything they could to pass the ERA and failed. So the Supreme Court just pretended the ERA had passed and read it into the emanations and penumbra of the Constitution.

Even if we manage to pass Constitutional Amendments expressly limiting the authority of the Supreme Court they will just "interpret" no to mean yes and continue doing whatever they want to do anyway. The only way to fix the Court is to make sure there are a clear majority of CONSERVATIVE Justices on the Court.

The problem with appointing CONSERVATIVE Justices is that historically Republican Presidents have done a crappy job of it, batting no better than 50%. Reagan gave us Scalia and Kennedy. Bush Sr. gave us Thomas and Souter. Bush Jr. gave us Roberts and Alito.

Democrats, on the other hand, have done a remarkably consistent job of appointing ideologically pure and reliable far left wing activist Justices.

In Texas, common law marriage is treated in all respects the same as a ceremonial marriage. This dates way back to the 1800s when you couldn’t always wait for a traveling preacher to come to town (particularly if you wanted to avoid bastard children). If you want to end a common law marriage, then you have to get a regular divorce. If you don’t, then you can be guilty of bigamy if you move on to common law spouse #2 before legally divorcing common law spouse #1. (There is now a statute of limitations on proving a common law marriage that is commonly referred to as a “common law divorce,” but it is complicated).

To have a common law marriage in Texas, there are only three requirements: (1) you intend to be married, (2) you cohabitate, and (3) you hold yourselves out as married to other people. The “intend to be married” requirement is the one that is nearly always in dispute when one party claims they were married and the other does not. Intent can be inferred from meeting the other two requirements. So you can become legally married by checking into a motel for the night as Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

We now have a clear pathway for retaking the country in only three years. It will not be easy, but frankly it is the last chance that I see in my lifetime.

First, in 2016 we MUST elect a CONSERVATIVE President such as Cruz or maybe Walker (I am keeping an open mind) AND the Republicans MUST hold onto the Senate.

As much as I would like to replace some RINOs in the Senate next year, because of the disproportionate number of Republicans up for election, it will be an uphill battle just to retain control. To retain control, we have to have as good of a year as we did 2010, when all those Senators that will be up for re-election were first elected.

President Cruz or President Walker simply cannot accomplish any of the things that must be done if Chuck Schumer is in control of the Senate. A Conservative President and a Democrat controlled Senate gets us nowhere.

This is my personal litmus test on whether or not keeping a RINO Senator in 2016 is better than replacing him with a Democrat. In the next few weeks or months, at least one and probably more of the following 80 year old Supreme Court Justices will announce their retirement so that Obama can fill their seat: Ginsburg, Breyer and/or Kennedy. Obama will fill their seats with young far left-wing liberals who will be legislating from the bench for the next 30 years.

The Senate MUST Bork ANYONE that Obama picks to fill any of these seats. Do NOT argue that the nominees lacks experience or try to find some hidden defect buried deep in their backgrounds. Simply state (loudly and without hesitation) that the Supreme Court has shifted so far to the far left-wing that it has become a liberal oligarchy that is way outside the mainstream of America and that is disregarding the Constitution and democratic rights of the citizens. No more Obama appointments can be permitted.

The lamestream media and the Democrats will scream bloody murder. Who cares? Make it a campaign issue. Do you want Hillary to appoint far left wing judges who will disregard the will of the American people and write whatever laws that they want or do you want judges who will apply the Constitution and laws that are written? The media keeps telling us that Americans just love same sex marriage, but every single time a referendum has been held, a clear majority has voted against same sex marriage and every one of those votes has now been thrown out by a cable of five unelected dictators.

IMHO, any Republican Senators who join in filibustering Obama’s nominees should be permitted to keep their jobs for another term. Any Republican Senators who vote against a filibuster and in favor of Obama’s nominees are no better than Democrats and should be replaced.

If we can elect a CONSERVATIVE President and retain Republican control of the Senate in 2016, then the next step will be for the Senate to invoke the Reid Rule and abolish the filibuster entirely - for all appointments and legislation. Again, the lamestream media and the Democrats will scream bloody murder, but if we make it this far then they will be entirely irrelevant.

That will give the President and Congress one year to repeal every Obama executive order, every regulation adopted by every agency under Obama, and every law (including Obamacare) that was passed by the Democrats since 2006. They must work fast, so that the economy will have time to rebound before the 2018 elections.

In 2018, it will be the year for consolidating control of state governments and throwing out every RINO we can from Congress.

If we can accomplish these steps, then America will be saved. If not, then our Republic is over.

Gray suffered that injury after the officer driving his police transport van, Caesar Goodson, Jr., had placed him in leg shackles and put him on his stomach in the vehicle.

I think it is possible that Goodson could be found guilty of negligence for failing to properly secure Gray. None of the other officers have any responsibility.

The biggest problem is that Goodson is black, which totally destroys the narrative.

That is how it starts. If an 18 year old can have sex with a 14 year old, why not a 19 year old or a 13 year old?

Get Cruz a cheap Hawaiian B.C. Should be no problem.

There are two types of citizens in the U.S. - natural born citizens and naturalized citizens. All citizens are either one or the other. (Non-citizens are either resident aliens or illegal aliens, but that is another topic).

Cruz did not have to apply to become a U.S. citizen. Under U.S. citizenship laws that were in effect when Cruz was born, he was automatically a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth (because his mother was a U.S. citizen who resided in the U.S. for the requisite number of years prior to his birth). Cruz is therefore a natural born citizen and not a naturalized citizen.

Texas is winner takes all; however, the primary usually falls so late here that the nomination is pretty much decided. In 2012, the primary got held up by redistricting lawsuits so we didn't even get to vote until May 29. By then Romney had the nomination locked up (I didn't vote for him).

In the general election, the last Democrat to win Texas was Jimmy Carter in 1976 (I didn't vote for him either). So pretty much whoever gets the Republican nomination will carry the state.

Obama: A vote against trade is a vote against me

Hell, every Republican should vote against it for that reason alone.

On the thin chance the courts strike this down, my bet is the Republican leadership will try to pass a bill adding the language necessary to continue the subsidies.

It will be the 2014 debt extension and 2015 Homeland Security appropriation bills all over again.

The Republicans will propose a bill to temporarily extend the subsidies and at the same time terminate the employer and individual mandates.

The Democrats will scream bloody murder and demand a "clean" bill that only extends the subsidies. The lamestream media will then run countless stories about poor people who can no longer afford health insurance because the evil Republicans are stealing their free government checks from them.

The Republicans will then cave and pass the Democrats' bill.

You feel Robert’s vote is in question?

I have stopped trying to guess how Roberts or Kennedy will vote in any case.

Purely speculation based on the remaining calendar this term.

The Court only has three more sessions left this term (the next three Mondays) and then adjourns until next October.

Logic, statutory construction, plain English and the rule of law no longer have any relevance. Like most Supreme Court decisions, this one will be decided based entirely upon the outcome that is desired by a majority of the Supreme Court Justices.

There is no question how 7 out of the 9 Justices will decide. The only question is which way Roberts and Kennedy will flip.
