He probably did it to survive.

    You are kidding, right?

The greatest danger he has faced in prison has been the danger of eating himself to death.

Oh the injustice of it all! He should be out searching golf courses for the real killer.

I cannot imagine what OJ Simpson would see in a religion that condones men slaughtering their wives and daughters if they do something to offend their honor.

We need to fight the battles in front of us before getting divided over hypothetical battles in the future.

First, the Republicans must retake the Senate in November. If not, then there will be no possible way to stop Obama from doing whatever he wants during the rest of his term. That will also mean that Obama will be able to pack the courts with liberal judges who will be legislating from the bench for the next 30 years.

Will a Republican controlled Senate stand up to Obama? Maybe, maybe not. There are a lot of RINOs in the Senate. All I know for a fact is that a Democrat controlled Senate will continue to allow Obama to do whatever he wants.

Keep in mind that in a Republican controlled Senate, it will only take 40 Republicans to filibuster. In a Democrat controlled Senate, there is no filibuster unless Reid wants to allow one.

After the November election, we need focus on doing whatever we can to get a conservative presidential nominee in 2016. If we can get a conservative President elected in 2016 and the Republicans can hold the Senate and the House, then we have a chance of reversing nearly everything that Obama has done.

If we get another RINO nominee in 2016, then we can fight over whether we are better off with President RINO or President Hillary. At that point, it is pretty much a question of whether you prefer to prolong the agony and stay on life support a little while longer or pull the plug.

I think we need to put all Pubbie Senators on notice that a vote to confirm Holder is a vote to have us all sit at home the next time they’re up for re-election.

The problem is that until at least the end of the year, Reid can get any far left wing liberal that Obama appoints confirmed without a single Republican vote. Under the current 55/45 split in the Senate, Reid can lose up to five democrats and still get confirmation (with Biden casting the tie breaking vote).

If the Republicans retake the Senate in November, then we can expect a flood of liberal confirmations during the lame duck session. Any democrats that are currently pretending to be moderate in order to try and get re-elected will have nothing to lose after the election, particularly any democrats that have already lost.

The left wing cabinet appointments do not concern me as much, since they can all get thrown out by the next President. The left wing judicial appointments scare the crap out of me, since they will be legislating from the bench for a generation to come.

Ginsburg has been under a lot of pressure from liberals to resign so that Obama can fill her seat. So far she has refused. Fortunately, she is putting herself over her ideology.

If the Republicans take the Senate in the November election, then she will come under a whole lot more pressure to quickly resign so that Obama can fill her seat with a young liberal and Reid can push her confirmation through in the lame duck session. I just hope that she keeps putting herself over her ideology.

If the Republicans do retake the Senate, then any Obama Supreme Court appointments after January will have to get at least 60 votes in the Senate. Unfortunately, it has never been difficult for Democrats to get Republican Senators to vote for far left wing Democrat appointments. That is why we have 4 far left wing liberals on the Court today.

On the other hand, if the Republicans do not retake the Senate, then Obama will have two more years to pack the courts with every far left wing liberal that he wants and there will be nothing that any Republican can do to stop it. We can then look forward to far left control over the federal judiciary for the next 30 years.

He is only 63. However that probably makes him too old unless Ginsbug suddenly resigns and Obama can push his appointment through before the end of the year.

Obama wants to fill any Supreme Court vacancies with far left wing radicals in their early 50s who van legislate from the bench for the next 30 years.

Obama will give Holder any of the currently open appellate court seats if he wants one. Reid can push confirmation through the Senate during the lame duck session without a single Republican vote and even lose as many as 6 democrat votes and still get him confirmed.

The only reason that the filibuster still exists for Supreme Court nominees is that no seats have come open since Reid decided to unilaterally change the rules whenever he wants.

The next time a seat comes open if Reid cannot line up 60 votes to prevent a filibuster of Obama’s far left wing nominee then Reid will eliminate the filibuster for Supreme Court nominees as well.

When you make all the rules you don’t have to worry about being subject to them.

If the Democrats hold on to the Senate it will only take 50 votes (plus Biden as the tiebreaker) to pass any of Obama’s appointments.

If the Republicans take back the Senate in November we can expect Reid to push through a flood of far left wing appointments during the lame duck session.

I once heard a news chick refer to a visitor to the USA from Africa as an “African-American from Africa”.

I was a Star Trek fan in my youth (I'm talking about the late 1960s when the original series aired).

In the mid 1990s, when they came out with a spin off series called Voyager, they cast a black actor to play a Vulcan (a space alien from the planet Vulcan for anyone who doesn't know).

I remember that the press kept referring to him as "the first African-American Vulcan."

He made the choice to join a cult... the killer doesn’t get a pass for that anymore than he would get a pass for joining a street gang.

I am not at all suggesting that he get a pass.

I love my dog. If my dog got rabies, I would shoot her without hesitation. I wouldn't do it to punish her or to make an example of her to other dogs. I would do it because a rabid dog has to be put down immediately before she bites anyone. There is no way to rehabilitate a rabid dog.

How she got rabies would be irrelevant to the issue of whether or not she needed to be put down. I would still want to know how she got rabies though, to try and prevent or at least reduce the continued spread of rabies in the area.

Pretty much the same analysis applies to rabid Muslim killers. He needs to be shot, regardless of how he became a rabid Muslim killer. The only difference between a rabid Muslim killer and my rabid dog is that, unlike my rabid dog, the Muslim killer needs to be punished too. It is still important to find out how he ended up that way though, to try and prevent or at least reduce the continued spread of rabid Muslim killers.

Her “there is another side to the story” does not make any sense.

The only "another side to the story" that I might be able to buy is that he was a mentally unbalanced man that did not get into any serious trouble until he fell in with the Muslim crowd that conditioned and trained him to be a psychotic killer for Allah.

I am not suggesting that there are any facts to support this narrative, just that it is entirely possible.

We are starting to see a lot of "there is a Republican wave coming" articles in the lamestream media. The purpose is twofold.

First, to help motivate the Democrat base before the election to contribute lots of money and to vote early and often.

Second, to move the bar, so that any Republican wins can be reported after the election as far less than expected.

In 1994, the national lamestream media was caught unprepared for the Republican tidal wave that swept state and federal elections at every level. Remember all of the petulant "the voters are having a temper tantrum" reports?

This year, the media is already preparing their "the expected Republican wave failed to materialize" reports that they will broadcast regardless of how many races the Republicans win.

Nobody had much to say about the climate — what they came to talk about was capitalism.

Notice how the environmental leftists rarely talk about real water and air pollution anymore and instead focus entirely on CO2?

The leftists have always called for more socialist/marxist government control as the cure for pollution (and everything else). Pollution, don’t you see, is caused by capitalism.

Then the iron curtain fell and it became irrefutable that the worst polluters in the history of the world were the former communist countries, most of which had become large toxic waste dumps. People generally don’t pollute property that they own. People have no such restraint about polluting property that belongs to someone else. Pollution, the world could see, is caused by socialism.

So now the entire focus is CO2, because the United States, having the world’s largest economy, naturally produces the most CO2 per capita. Never mind that CO2 is a trace gas that is necessary for the survival of life on Earth.

This hypothesis is absolutely ridiculous and should not be taken seriously. But use it against the libs and they will absolutely go apoplectic.

I like to tell libs that if they are serious about reducing global warming, then they should stop recycling paper. Throw it in the trash, not in a recycling bin.

Paper is made from trees planted in farms just like any other crop (only it takes this crop a lot longer to grow). If you recycle paper, less trees are planted in tree farms and less carbon is removed from the atmosphere.

If you throw your paper in the trash, it will end up buried in landfills, removing the carbon from the atmosphere. More trees will be needed to produce new paper resulting in more trees planted in tree farms.

This hypothesis is not absolutely ridiculous (just mostly ridiculous).

Good point. I did not realize Holder is that old.

Obama will definitely want to replace Ginsburg with a hard core leftist in his, her or its early 50s to ensure that the replacement is legislating from the bench for as long as possible. A black, lesbian, transsexual would be the most likely candidate, since he/she/it would cover as many Democrat quotas as possible.

And, to prove they’re not racist, enough Republicans vote ‘Yes’ to confirm him!

There is enough dirt on Holder, including an outstanding contempt citation, that Republicans could vote against him without worrying about the racism charge.

Of course the Democrats will still play the racism card, it is just that anyone who buys it would not ever vote for a Republican anyway.

The problem is that Reid could push through a Holder Supreme Court confirmation before the end of the year without a single Republican vote. Because of the current 55/45 split in the Senate, Reid could lose up to five Democrat votes and still push it through (it would be a 50/50 tie with Biden casting the deciding vote).

By setting the vote to occur after the November election, none of the Democrat Senators who are currently in trouble would have to vote against Holder's confirmation.

I think this is a very realistic scenario. It is all up to Ruth Buzzi Ginsburg at this point. If she announces her retirement this month, then it is a certainty.

Nah, if the GOP wins back the Senate, despite its ineptitude, it will rush through a confirmation in the lame duck session—so fewer Senators in line for eventual reelection will have to vote in favor of Barry’s nominee.

If you will recall, Harry Reid unilaterally changed the Senate rules so the Republican minority cannot block any of Obama's appointments.

If the Republicans retake the Senate in the November elections, Reid can and will push through confirmation of Holder's far left wing replacement before the end of the year without a single Republican vote.

I expect that a flood of far left wing liberal appointments will be confirmed after the elections and before the end of the year. The far left wing judicial appointments will be legislating from the bench for the next 30 years.

They want to make sure that the Harry Reid controlled Senate will be able to push through confirmation of Holder's far left wing replacement before the end of the year.

A Republican controlled Senate could (but probably won't) refuse to confirm a far left wing replacement.
