Back in the ‘40s I would occasionally walk along with our Mailman Harry for the better part of Saturdays while he delivered the mail on his route. I was maybe 7 or 8. Learned a lot from him including how to deal with dogs. He was never bitten or attacked. All the dogs loved him. He carried dog treats in his mail pouch and they all knew it. In todays world we no longer have time for the little things.
Thx. lots of fond memories around Lake Merritt - I learned to sail there back in the 40s. Lakeview School - All done with CA. Live in SE AZ - SE of Tucson.

“I was wary of the magic negro the first time I heard of him. He was from ultra liberal Chicago, cheated his way into Illinois offices twice, had zero accomplishments, taught by communists, and was oily, unctuous and as smarmy as the worst pol you could ever imagine.”
Yep. And would add ... the first time I heard him speak - it was mostly “word salad”.
Never listened to him again - I understand he has a gift with a teleprompter.
Now, here in SE AZ, small town, mostly seniors, we just call the Fire Dept. They come by, pick it up and release it further out in the unpopulated desert. No charge.
Whatever. I really want scorched earth and salted afterward this time. GOP has no guts and has demonstrated they are losers as long as I can remember and that’s why I refuse to give them one more penny.
