Vice President-elect Cheney gave a press conference outlining the plans and problems involved in setting up the transition team. He addressed the problem that most FReepers are familiar with, the GSA refusal to hand over the keys and the cash. It was cool! We have got to use our heads here. As much as I despise the Clinton/Gore/Larry Flint administration, I think that, for these protests, we've got to stay away from name-calling if we want to gain any ground. Decent people who are Democrats will tune us out if we say derogatory things about Democrats in general. Yes, there really are some who are decent; they may be too lazy to become informed, just staying with the party because their parents were Dems, etc., but there are probably quite a few who are good people and we could change their minds if ...

I had this thought last night, and my blood ran cold! Are there any pubbies involved in protecting these people? We saw the story about the phone calls that some Bush electors got. How many of them are having their private lives x-rayed by the charming Larry Flynt & Co.? How many will Al Gorleone threaten or bribe for a million per vote? That would be chump change for Dreamworks to cough up! And, of course, while all this chicanery is going on, they'll continue to draw our fire with absentee ballot charges, chads and other minutiae.

Can anyone really believe that the one-man-one-vote principle prevailed in this election, especially when Detroit showed a 90% turnout? How many of these were Goron multiple votes, illegal votes, coerced votes, and bought votes? And surely all of the Congressional DEMONcRATS that won are grateful to Daley & Co. -- and probably had to make Faustian promises -- for drawing our fire toward Florida. Will W be in Philadelphia tomorrow? I'm sorry. I know I'm not posting this properly, but I need an answer. On C-SPAN radio earlier today, I listened to a tape of a Cheney speech at a rally in Wisconsin. Afterwards, the C-SPAN announcer said that W was going to be in Philadelphia tomorrow (Sunday). Is this true? Can anyone tell me where and when? I live in Maryland, but I can take 95 up to Philadelphia in about an hour and a half. I don't see anything about tomorrow on the Bush website.
