  • A Rapture, of Sorts?

I fully believe there has to be a Rapture of true believers, but it isn't to get Christians out of harms way. It seems more due to the positive influence of the Holy Spirit on earth. I also believe it’s still 10 or 20 years away. Why do I say this? In that day:
    - People will stop eating meat
o Scary, but there is already a lot of talk that people eating beef need to stop
    - Babylon will be a great city again
o This requires a large ?Muslim? country and an effort to rebuild

Eventually the false-prophet will perform miracles, in my opinion, as in the days of Job. The miracles will be so convincing that it is written that if the days were not shortened, even the very elect would be deceived. In the book of Job, Satan was able to 1) call down lightening from the sky 2) stir up armies and have them take over new territory 3) control whirlwinds to destroy (Job’s children’s house) 4) time events in such a unique way to allow the most devastating impact to Job 5) damage Job’s physical body and infest him with worms and do other damage. How would you react if someone could call down lightening or a tornado right in front of you?

About the Rapture itself, I believe it will happen somewhere towards the middle of the tribulation, but before the false prophet performs any significant miracles. Jesus said He would never leave us, nor forsake us. He is honoring His word through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Scripture tells us that the Holy Spirit has to be “removed” from the earth before the fullness of evil is revealed. I believe that will be the time of the Rapture.

I also do not believe there will be a great revival before the beginning of the Rapture. Of course I could be wrong, but too many things point to the opposite. I will try and pull those verses together, but as was already mentioned; I also believe it is still 10 or 20 years away. Why do I say this?

While I attended a very conservative seminary, none of the professors felt that the USA was mentioned in the end times. There are too many possible reasons why.

It's not actually translated “Thou shalt not kill”, it's more like “Thou shalt not commit murder.” God is always the same... and He wouldn't have Israel “kill” their enemies and then turn around and say don't “kill” anybody.

Just went into my profile and tried to edit. It said something like “You have not been here long enough to do that.”
If my 12+ years of lurking isn’t long enough... I think she’s going to be disappointed.

When I was in seminary about 10 years ago, we had a casual discussion with a few professors and they all agreed there were basically three main ideas floating around. 1) The U.S. did not exist any more (the 1/3 of the world that was burned up or too much internal strife or civil war) 2) the U.S. is represented by the lamb with the forked tongue before the throne, meaning we decided to sit the war out 3) or we no longer existed as the same nation, with the same values. At the time, I couldn’t imagine any of these happening. Lately... I would be more surprised if our leaders didn’t help our historic enemies.

Biden’s words sound to me like they will abandon our allies. Russia is broke... and will most likely strike Georgia, Ukraine, etc. moving/growing West. China will hit Taiwan and move into Africa and South America in force. Israel will be attacked and noBama will sit by and watch. If we are nuked, noBama already said he will not nuke them back.

Having spent years troubleshooting computer issues with customers… the first question you always ask is “What changed?” In this case “we” added a new power array. Unfortunately, our success rate of co-developing & deploying space equipment with other countries isn’t perfect. There are many reasons… including quality control, conversion issues, etc. We also have to admit that anything we put up there was built by the lowest bidder… which is scary at best. At this point we (the ISS Team) need to fix the problem, not the blame. It could just as easily be our fault as theirs.
It could be something as simple as a failure in routine maintenance. A surge from the new array could have damaged something within the main power system. Most people don’t realize that surge suppressors (MOV’s) only work once, and are burned out. If one had been used up during a previous panel repair/installation and wasn’t noticed, this new installation could have damaged something anywhere in the power grid.
It could be an inconsistency in the supplied verses the expected power voltage/frequency. It may be something catastrophic.. and completely unrepairable. Like at the exact moment they attached the power array… someone opened a gif with a picture of Hillary in it!!! Of course the monitor would never work again, the drives would have to be scrubbed.. I think it’s a total loss…
