  • Deadly Israeli airstrike sparks fury - Qana

General question to whom it may concern:
If Israel warned Qana area residents to leave and they couldn't because they had no cars, money or destination (shades of Katrina), why didn't the wonderfully benevolent Hezbollah, who offer so many social services as is reported by the drive-by MSM, evacuate them?

My mom had to have a brain biopsy to diagnose the Heiden-hain variant. Not the easy biopsy either. They drilled a one inch hole in her head to do it which caused seizures to develop which were held in check by some drug that inconveniently caused insomnia. If it weren't the Emory doctors we took her to it probably would have been diagnosed incorrectly. Our doctors said told about everything you have said, one in a million. Less than one percent of people in families where it shows up frequently is genetic. I saw the part of the article about New Guinea Kuru and the cannibalism but I could have sworn I saw something where the problem may have been something in the wheat they were eating. May the fertilizer? Again, I am probably an expert now in caring for CJD victims but not all the facts about the disease.

All very good points except some vCJD is genetic. We were tested and my mom had sporatic which means she ate something. Incubation period as long as 40 years we were told. And we were told it wasn't necassarily meat that infected her. You posters have offered some very intersting information very quickly and I appreciate it. I'm no expert but have done a lot of digging and there's really so little valid info out there. Everything seems to focus on mad cow even when talking about CJD.

My mother just died of vCJD. It is indeed cruel. She went from accomplished artist to unable to hold a pencil or utter her thoughts. It is thought to be misdiagnosed as Alzheimer's disease or other. Its been told to me by Emory doctors that this fact may mean somewhat of an explosion of the numbers of cases in coming years. Although it is a prion disease it is NOT mad cow disease. It is hard to study because they usually diagnose you after you are already dead. It took my mom a year to go from early symptoms to death. Mark my words, this is the disease that will be making headlines in years to come, starting now... Thanks for posting the article, I could have done without the cow but I do have a sense of humor so I won't have one.

I agree, the Right View does always win in a logical conversation. My wish is for a project that communicates the hypocrisy of the dems using their own style, not to win my political points. You are correct, the dems are in dream world and have had no real points to stand on since Clinton took office.

Most humble apologies for my posted vanity, an admitted vent. I am guilty of a moment of emotion. I agree I could have researched better, I didn't. History may never forgive me for my violation. I enjoyed the conversation and interesting replies anyway so maybe it was worth saying it while it was on my mind. The error was insignificant because it didn't matter which swiftie it was. I'll let others who would judge me for that to pull their own thread.

Its a matter of benefits. Its a matter of states rights. Its a matter of definition and consistency. I am conservative. I belive in defense of Marriage act which Clinton signed. I believe in Civil Unions with Benefits in the states who so choose. I have gay friends. When we argue I ask them why can't I as an American citizen who is Republican so I am sponsored by Haliburton, can't marry two women? Why can't I marry my sister? Or a 12 year old? Sorry for a sloppy post.
  • Libya 'to give up WMD'

    To whom it may concern:
A few thoughts regarding this news of Libya... sorry for any repeated thoughts.

    First a great line from Bush speech in last Repub convention I think applies over and over;
"They had their chance, they have not led, we will!"

    Some points why Dean is wrong about a safer America;
Someone ought to make a complete list of the thousands of nuances that one could dream up why.

Afghanistan and Iraq are relatively stabilized.

Libya, Pakistan, India, Iran and others have seen the light and are working against terrorism and towards deals and agreements.

Lots of bad guys are scared out of their wits over what's in Saddam's briefcase. Not to mention certain E and W European countries worried about what's America finding and what information will be made public. If we spare their dignity on this one the dark side countries should thank us.

Our pilots are no longer in danger in the no fly zone.

Our neighbors and enemies have far less to worry about.

Our soldiers and sailors can redploy to a new strategic situation and are in less danger in areas like Kuwait, Saudi A. and the Gulf waters. All of which were in range of scuds or RPG's with chem/bio weapons packed in the nose.

We're basically getting out of Saudi Arabia which aides us and reduces need for Al Queda and Mujhadeen members to fight.

Our military and geopolitical situation is brilliant. We have wiped out two political dire enemies.
We have assets on the border and in the deserts and cities of Iran, Syria, Pakistan, China, more?
Its great to be at the gateways of the middle east traffic of evil doers and gov'ts.
We are in control of the early choices of Iraq rebuild and Gov't setup which is of critical interest of to friends and foes of the war which will "internationalize" the Iraq effort like the dems wanted.
Terror attacks in their own nations and satellite television to the masses and the Bush Doctrin are getting Arab nations to talk democracy.
We are now showing the current state of france germany russia china and especially the united nations for what they are (the dark side) and completely re-engineering the leverage over them in a historically short amount of time. There is so much more on this but I won't go on, I find these very exciting days.

WMD and Terrorism have been properly vilified in the world's eyes enough so that they understand their own danger and the need to strike threats early. Libya felt safer and more in danger depending on the decision to "be with us or be with the terrorists". Obviously the President has been busy covertly as promised and I wish that point would be more exploited as well as the fact that the public has no bloody idea what information he gets. We won't know most of it ever but most for 20 - 50 years.

The region is safer, our soldiers in harms way are safer region-wide and now we are pressuring our enemies to beat their WMDs and suicide bombers into plow shares.

All this adds up to the fact that Howard Dean is incorrect or did he just say it to get elected.
Compared to "THE GREAT EXECUTIVE" he's a petty little man who ought to talk to serious people before he speaks.

    Sorry for the miniblog...

Keep it in mind! Send that drawer full of unused electronics to the soldiers in Iraq and Afghan. I'm sure there are thousands of those new radios their selling with 2 mile reach unused. Walkman's, old walkie, talkie's, televisions, nintendo, game boy, laptops!!!...

By the way, there's a rumor around a big cola company here in atl that there is a drive to give frequent flyer points to soldiers en mass.

Remember the stateside support for our troops in WWII, we need a drive to get the technical comforts of home with all its convenience and advantage to our boys.
  • Albright criticizes Bush administration's policy toward Turkey

Is Albright and Clinton and other past demstrying to run their own Shadow Gov't? Working against W's admin to run their own foriegn policy in exile. Clinton invented the non-stop campaign war room, I wonder if he's disatisfied with W and egomaniacal to invent the non-stop October suprise? I see a pattern of ex-Clintonista's using book tours to travel worldwide and politic as they rub elbows with foriegn leaders or reps and diplomats. I know that Carville campaigns in foreign nations and Clinton calls Blair. I know Albright has a LOT to lose if Bush is effective in Iraq, Iran, NK and Afghan... She was a MISERABLE FAILURE in these areas. I know Carter asked the Russians to assist him beat Reagan. I know Carter weilds a Shadow foreign policy. I know world leaders know the difference between who's in power and who isn't but a secret deal via Clinton to Clark or others could convince a country like France to saaaaayyyy veto a u.n. resolution if they got something in return in 4 to 8 years. I think it should be investigated.

Part two, Clintonistas have no class. Zell Miller and Andrew Cuomo are correct about the direction of the Dems and its summed up with that phrase.

You'll notice the grilling in this interview was not matched by the softball interview with Wesley Clark that followed. I wonder if Wesley shows up on Steppy's show after serious Bush Admin officials with his lame criticism because he's the only goat brave enough to be consistantly proven wrong week after week instead of any of the real dem candidates.

I loved when when Rummy said, "You don't listen!".

The pond is close to his home, close to his former job, you don't get stuck if your floating, half swimming balanced on the box, which should be under water for protection against that fine powder. Remember how far and fast that stuff traveled, even through the envelope. Plus its a place for a stupid criminal to hide evidence. I am just saying its plausible and they did find some things...

I could see Hatfill in a scuba suit, a few diving weights forballast, wading neck deep in the deep end of a five foot deep pond rubber gloves, sealing two holes in a box that was sealed with the vials in zip lock bags and envelopes in zip lock bags, pouring one into the other and sealing the envelopes. I wonder if he's former military. He could remove the gloves, sink the box and vials and zip lock extras and head for some distant random post boxes.
Perfectly plausible, and the fact that Hatfill got angry and charged the FBI tail, after all this time, shows me they're getting close.
He's innocent until proven otherwise but I can now see why the FBI is taling so close. I agree with the notion of disrupt attacks now, prosecute later, or not, as long as attacks are disrupted. It reminds me when I was a store detective in training for a department store. I couldn't make arrests yet but I had to guard a store already. I spotted a shoplifter or potential lifter and I would show them my badge and walk away and watch. They put the item back usually (to my knowledge) and I didn't usually spot them again.
I hope they solve this crime definitively and soon, who ever it is. I had personal involvement in the second Rudolph bombing at the Atlanta abortion clinic that was meant for first responders and I would love to have payback for that, 9/11 and the Anthrax terrorist all wrapped up. What a load off!!!

Did you know two little twin babies were just moved from an office right above that Rudolph Abortion CLinic blast?
The external wall was complete glass.
They just missed being slashed to smithereens like the office did. For the goal of closing the clinic (which I have no love for), he almost aborted the young lives of two sweet little baby girls. There's so many untold stories on all these attacks and so many attacks forgotten.
