Here’s a description of her Spirit Cooking book I found...
is a natural evolution from Abramovic’s extensive use of crystals as an interactive element in her sculptures and installations. In her work, the crystal elements range from large shoeas to quartz crystals embedded in the back of chairs. Abramovic explores the use of the mineral through a diverse range of scale, intimate and domestic. In Spirit Cooking, Abramovic places several amethyst crystals in a clea crystal jug filled with water. An accompanying hand-written and framed recipe, each individually drawn, instructs the user to soak the crystals in the water, releasing the beneficial qualities of the amathyst. Some of the stone’s transformational properties are: Purification and regeneration on all levels on consciousness. It is excellent for creativity, self esteem and sobriety. It possesses calming and strong protective qualities. And finally it will relieve depression.
I have been following this GoFundMe push since the beginning. This family has absolutely done everything they can to push forward a trial that could be a cure for their daughter and others with this rare and fatal disease.
It all started with a Google search for "How to make a viral video". Videographers donated their time, and quickly their site had raised the first million dollars. They had an original deadline date of October, that came and went with 1.1 of the 1.8 million dollars that they needed.
The family has been in strict quarantine for months now. They have tried to keep her mind stimulated to avoid losing her skills as long as possible, and kept her from getting sick, which could cause her to miss a clinical trial.
I am amazed at this family. It reminds me very much of the family behind the movie Lorenzo's Oil.
Today, they have a last push on the day of their daughters 5th birthday. They needed to raise $600,000 more. So far, they have raised $350,000. Please give as you are able. (My family has given 3 times already.)
“Blood-stained mattresses, bedding and medical equipment were taken from the centre, a senior police officer told BBC News, on condition of anonymity.
“This is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen in my life,” he said. “All between the houses you could see people fleeing with items looted from the patients.”
The looting spree, he added, could spread the virus to the whole of the West Point area.”
