BRITAIN’S soft justice system hit a new low yesterday with plans to scrap prison sentences for burglars. Hundreds of thousands of crooks could escape jail every year under the proposals by advisers to the Lord Chief Justice. Those sentenced to short, sharp shock jail terms of less than 12 months for “less serious offences” – including burglary – should be handed community penalties instead, Even those who are likely to reoffend could walk free from court if it is believed they will go on to commit “non-serious offences”. And in a further blow, while courts must not be swayed by...

Dutch television program demonstrating the technique ~snip~ were posted on various web sites. The issue has naturally concerned a good many people who have learned about it, since it seemingly shows that many of the kinds of locks typically used on residences are seemingly vulnerable to being bypassed through a fairly simple, effective technique.A "999" or bump key can be any key that fits a particular pin tumbler lock and that has been modified so that all of its cuts (or grooves) are made to the deepest allowable position as defined by each manufacturer. The term "fit" means that the...

It was late when they got home, so late that the cluster of town houses at the top of the hill was dark. Earlier this month, Fred Taylor, a Suffolk native and first-year law student at Mercer University, was returning from a fancy birthday dinner with his girlfriend to his home in Macon, Ga. When the couple went inside, Taylor switched on the lights in the living room, the dining room and kitchen. Ceiling fans whirred. Taylor’s girlfriend, Adrienne Warren, 22, went upstairs, changed clothes and settled downstairs on the couch in front of the TV. Taylor, also 22, was...

For education and discussion only. Not for commercial use. In what police characterized as a one-of-a-kind case, a Las Vegas resident arrived home Monday morning to find a stranger dead in his house. The 31-year-old victim was discovered in the bathroom with a gunshot wound to his head, said Las Vegas police Sgt. Rocky Alby. "It's rare for someone to come home and find an unknown dead person in their home," Alby said. "This is a very unusual call. We just have to see if we can piece it together." The homeowner, whom police did not identify, left his house...

Householders will not face prosecution for attacking or even killing a burglar providing they use only "reasonable force", new guidelines said.Police and prosecutors published a new leaflet advising the public how far they can go to defend their property. Take a look at the above pictures. If you didn't look at the photos (or read the names) you would think that 90% of the top ten most wanted burglars in Collier County are white males. First off, having the classification "Hispanic" as a race is fraudulent, as the only thing that Cubans, Mexicans, Dominicans and Spainish people have in common is a language, and that's all. Some are black, some are white some are indigenous. Point being, Hispanic is not a race. Second, do "Hispanics" just get to pick whatever race suits them on any given day? If...
