GROVELAND, Fla. - Another bomb threat has been reported at a Lake County school on Monday morning, according to officials. Lake County Sheriff's Office said a bomb threat was reported at Clermont Middle School. Deputies and Clermont police officers are on scene investigating. It's not clear if evacuations have been ordered at Clermont Middle School. The second bomb threat report comes hours after students and staff were evacuated from South Lake High School in Groveland. School officials said students, who were taken to the school's football field, were not being released from the campus.

Elementary schools in Seminole County were evacuated this afternoon after receiving bomb threats, a Seminole County Sheriff's spokeswoman said. Deputies evacuated Casselberry, Winter Springs, Lawton, English Estates, Red Bug, Lake Orienta, Forest City and Spring Lake elementary schools, sheriff's spokeswoman Heather Smith said in a statement. It was not immediately clear whether the threats were valid. Deputies are investigating where the calls came from. Officials are reporting that Winter Springs, Forest City and Lake Orienta have been searched and cleared.

Flights at both Chicago airports have been halted Friday morning, due to a fire at Federal Aviation Administration radar facility in Aurora. Emergency crews found a man with self-inflicted wounds while putting out the fire. A ground stop was in place at O’Hare International and Midway International airports as a result of the fire. Flights headed into both airports were being diverted to other airports, while flights departing the airports were being delayed. The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said fire investigators were at the scene, as part of the DuPage County Fire Investigation task force. Aurora...

According to a newly revealed Department of Defense policy, undocumented immigrants with “high-demand skills” and “mostly rare foreign language expertise or specialized health care training” will now be allowed to serve in the military, USA today reported. The program is called Military Accessions in the National Interest (MAVNI). Immigrants lacking proper documentation will be allowed in if they came to America with their parents before the age of 16 and are approved under President Obama’s 2012 DACA, or Deferred Action for Child Arrivals, policy. Islamic State terrorists are plotting an attack on US and Paris subway systems, Iraq’s prime minister warned Thursday morning at the United Nations. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said he was told of the plot by his intelligence in Baghdad, and that it was from foreign ISIS fighters in Iraq, according to the Associated Press. “I’m receiving accurate reports from Baghdad that there were arrests of a few elements and there were networks from inside Iraq to have attacks … on metros of Paris and US,” he said. Eric Holder Jr., the nation's first black U.S. attorney general, is preparing to announce his resignation Thursday after a tumultuous tenure marked by civil rights advances, national security threats, reforms to the criminal justice system and five and a half years of fights with Republicans in Congress. Law360, Los Angeles (September 24, 2014, 8:44 PM ET) -- The Seventh Circuit ruled Wednesday that it is up to Wisconsin state courts to decide whether an investigation into potential campaign finance violations involving Gov. Scott Walker and a host of conservative groups should proceed, overturning a lower court injunction that halted the probe on First Amendment grounds. President Obama announced a series of executive actions to fight climate change on Tuesday, during a speech to the United Nations Climate Summit in New York City. Obama ordered all federal agencies to begin factoring “climate resilience” into all of their international development programs and investments. The action is expected to complement efforts by the federal government to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according to the White House.
