The Senate on Thursday rejected immigration legislation crafted by centrists in both parties after President Trump threatened to veto the bill if it made it to his desk. Authorities are investigating a reported shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Wednesday. Officers responded to the school at 5901 Pine Island Road for the reported shooting, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said. There were reports of victims, BSO officials said. Coral Springs Police tweeted that that people should stay away from the school due to an active police scene. No other information was known.

President Trump on Monday rolled out a White House budget that includes deep cuts to some federal agencies, an increase in funding for the Pentagon and $18 billion for a wall on the Mexican border.
