SAN DIEGO (AP) — Raul Villarreal was long a public face of the Border Patrol, frequently appearing on television news as an agency spokesman and acting as a dangerous human smuggler in a public service announcement intended to warn Mexicans about the dangers of entering the United States illegally.

A corrupt U.S. border agent sitting in a federal prison cell is offering a chilling view of the Mexican drug cartels whose drug shipments he protected for years in return for hefty bribes. He is so terrified of the cartel's famous vicious streak that he fears for his own life -- and the lives of his family -- if he is identified as speaking to ABC News. He depicts a dangerously paranoid crime organization that has spies throughout U.S. law enforcement. To illustrate the cartel's pervasive reach, he said he got his introduction to them through an American cop. From...

PHOENIX — A Mexican man was climbing a ladder when a Border Patrol agent fatally shot him three times, a sheriff's spokeswoman told The Associated Press on Monday. Cochise County sheriff's investigators have no indication that Carlos La Madrid, 19, assaulted or tried to assault the agent when he was shot March 21, said agency spokeswoman Carol Capas. La Madrid had fled police in the Arizona border city of Douglas in a truck and drove to the border with Mexico. He was climbing a ladder and trying to cross the border, and another man atop the wall began throwing rocks...

In Juarez, Mexico -- just over the border from El Paso, TX -- the drug cartels are demanding protection money from the local churches, and failure to pay can have deadly consequences. The devil's army walks the earth, and the degenerate narco insurgents would murder Jesus Christ himself for thirty pieces of silver. Hope the American pot-smoking coke-snorting smack-injecting consumers who are financially backing the Mexican drug cartels are enjoying their bloody partying.

FORT HANCOCK (August 16, 2010)--U.S. Border Patrol agents are killing themselves in greater numbers, after nearly four years without one suicide, according to records The Associated Press obtained that show that at least 15 agents have taken their own lives since February 2008. That’s the largest spike in suicides the agency has seen in at least 20 years, but it’s unclear exactly why the men ended their lives. Few left notes. Federal officials insist the deaths have nothing to do with the agency or the increasingly volatile U.S.-Mexico border, but administrators have quietly undertaken urgent suicide-prevention initiatives. Those include special...

Agent Robert Rosas, 30, was shot and killed on July 23, 2009 by a group Mexican citizens illegally crossing the border near Campo. Claremont-based anti-illegal immigration group, We The People, California's Crusader, organized the vigil. The group passed a card for Rosas' wife and two young children. "We're keeping his memory alive," said Robin Hvidston, member of We The People. "He didn't give his live in vain. We the American public, the people, appreciate that he paid the ultimate sacrifice, the giving of his life." Rosas was shot multiple times in the back of the head after investigating suspicious activity...

The bloodbath continues along our southern border and now word is coming in that Los Zetas, the highly trained killers formerly with the Gulf Cartel, have crossed into the United States and taken over at least two ranches in the Laredo, Texas area. I am receiving word that the owners of the ranches have evacuated without being harmed. As of this hour I cannot confirm 100% on the situation (I am at around 90%) - though the source is law enforcement in the area. The ranches are said to be "near Mines Rd. and Minerales Rd. about 10 miles NW...

Early in the 90’s, we saw a militarization of this area...and an enormous jump in the number of Border Patrol agents and their various apparatuses,” Velarde said. “In the case of Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereka, he was killed point blank by a Border Patrol agent. It’s a very ... violent space, as we see the mix of people” and the “state repression that exists there in all its forms.” Velarde compared the U.S.-Mexico border to occupied Palestine. He said: “The similarities are so obvious, especially to somebody who lives on the border. The fact that they can justify deadly force...

The 15-year-old Mexican boy who was shot dead by a Border Patrol agent as U.S. authorities came under attack along the border Tuesday was known to authorities as a juvenile smuggler, sources close to the investigation told Fox News. Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereka was shot once near the eye as U.S. Border Patrol agents on bicycles were "assaulted with rocks" as they tried to detain illegal immigrants on the Texas side of the Rio Grande. Huereka was charged with alien smuggling in 2009, according to sources who requested anonymity. Further details were not immediately available.

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (AP) — Pointing their rifles, Mexican security forces chased away U.S. authorities investigating the shooting of a 15-year-old Mexican by a U.S. Border Patrol agent on the banks of the Rio Grande, the FBI and witnesses told The Associated Press on Wednesday. The killing of the Mexican by U.S. authorities — the second in less than two weeks — has exposed the distrust between the two countries that lies just below the surface, and has enraged Mexicans who see the death of the boy on Mexican soil as an act of murder. Shortly after the boy was...
