Jeff Carlson, a retired Aberdeen Police Department and school resource officer, was suspended from his contracted position as a security officer at the District of the South Dakota Federal Courthouse. Douglas Police arrested 34-year-old Kiara Dudley, of Douglas, and charged her with assault and battery on an elderly person causing injury after the incident at the intersection of Main and Webster streets. SEATTLE — The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has filed felony charges against two people accused of assault, arson, and reckless burning during a protest in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood in September.
