March for Life organizers had pledged that neither a blizzard forecast nor icy cold temperatures would keep them from descending on the nation’s capital Friday for the annual pro-life event - but returning home is proving to be a more difficult task. Martial law has been decalred in New York City. This comes in response to this year's biggest snow storm. The New York Police Department is threatening to arrest anyone on the road. They are calling it a "travel ban." "After 2:30 p.m and you're on the road, we will arrest you @NYPDChiefofDept says," NYPD says. "Stay off the road, @NYPDChiefofDept says. We don't want to have to arrest you."

A messy portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike has been shut down do to snowy conditions, and several groups are rushing in to help. The Turnpike is closed in both directions between the Breezewood exit and the New Stanton exit so that crews can clear the roads. Additionally, all commercial vehicles are banned between the New Stanton exit and the Delaware River Bridge, and on the Northeastern Extension between the Mid County exit and the Pocono exit. There are a number of vehicles stuck on the closed section of the Turnpike, and the National Guard has been called in to help....

Gov. Cuomo issued a travel ban Saturday, shutting down roads and some train service as a killer blizzard bears down on New York City. New York City and state roads will close to all traffic except emergency responders at 2:30 p.m. Metro-North and Long Island Railroad service will stop at 4:00 p.m., the governor said. Residents across the Upper Midwest may soon get the snowfall some have been wanting more of this winter. Heavy snow is expected Tuesday in parts of Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. A band from west-central to northeastern Minnesota could see the heaviest amounts, 4-6 inches. Blizzard conditions are expected in south-central and west-central Minnesota as well as across south-central to northeastern South Dakota.

A Massachusetts woman was arrested during the blinding blizzard that walloped New England after she attacked her neighbor with a snowblower, police said today.
