MOBILE, Alabama -- The fatal gun shot that cut down a single mother of two Saturday night occurred in front of her teenage daughter, family members said today. The daughter, who asked that her name not be used, said she was standing in her front yard when her mother, Wendy Fisher, ran across the street to retrieve their dog. Police are looking for leads in the bizarre murder of a mother who tried to slow down a speeding car. Wendy Fisher, 40, was across the street from her home in the Overlook Heights community when witnesses say a car sped down her street.   Fisher signaled for the car to slow down, then the driver stopped the vehicle and at least one person got out and started shooting.
