A Georgia woman slammed her SUV into a Popeyes restaurant because her order was missing biscuits, according to police. Around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, a woman ordered food at the Popeyes restaurant in Augusta, Georgia. The woman claimed that her order at the fast food restaurant was missing biscuits. A Popeyes manager informed authorities that the order was corrected and the customer was given biscuits. However, the woman was reportedly "still not happy." The woman instructed the restaurant staff to hurry up with the order "because she was coming back," according to the Popeyes employees.

Soon, Joanna Gaines’ "perfect" biscuits will be available to buy online, according to reports. The Magnolia co-founder and lifestyle guru revealed the recipe for her biscuits in January on her cooking show "Magnolia Table." But if cooking isn’t your thing, Magnolia will be selling frozen biscuit dough starting April 1, Travel and Leisure reported Wednesday. According to the website, fans can buy the frozen dough from the Magnolia website and it will be shipped from the Gaines’ restaurant, Magnolia Table. Travel and Leisure reported that a dozen frozen biscuits cost $25, plus another $15 for shipping.

I used to buy a really great bread flavored with dill at a local health-food/Co-op sort of place; but haven't been able to find it in recent years. I recently purchased a book, the 'Herb Farm Cookbook', by Jerry Traunfeld: http://www.amazon.com/Herbfarm-Cookbook-Jerry-Traunfeld/dp/0684839768There was an interesting biscuit recipe in the book that seemed like it would go nicely with soup or stew, in the Fall (the book indicates that these are shaggy, firm biscuits, not fluffy ones): Dill and Cheddar Three-Grain Biscuits Makes 8 large biscuits 1 cup all-purpose flour (spoon and level; 4 1/2 ounces) 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour 1/4 cup...

COLUMBIA, Tenn. -- Another incident of violence erupted at a Popeyes with an employee allegedly body-slamming a woman onto the concrete outside a Tennessee restaurant. Video of the alleged incident has gone viral and is now the subject of a police investigation. Witnesses say the attack began after a woman disputed a charge on her bill at the restaurant in Columbia, Tennessee. A heated argument ensued between the customer and several employees, prompting workers to tell the customer to leave the restaurant. Employees claim the woman then used a racial slur. Footage shows the woman walking out of the restaurant,...
  • Montgomery Biscuits Plan ‘Millennial Night’ With Avocados and Selfies (napping areas)

The Montgomery Biscuits, the Double A affiliate of the Rays, will hold a “Millennial Night” on Saturday against the Mississippi Braves. The promotion will feature all the things that have become synonymous with life as a millennial: stagnant wages, a rising cost of living and crushing debt. Oh wait, sorry. They’re actually going to just be handing out participation trophies and serving avocados at the concession stands. **SNIP** The Biscuits aren’t even the only team pulling the same gimmick this year. The Lexington Legends’ Millennial Night was met with similar hostility in May, while the West Michigan Whitecaps are holding...

I’m posting this Tomato Soup recipe from last year again, because even though it’s a hot soup, which we may not want in Summer, and the recipe uses canned tomatoes, it’s a great use for fresh tomatoes if you have a ‘bumper crop’. It’s also a wonderful starter for any season: light and bright – not a heavy creamy soup; and you might like it as a lighter change for the soup course even at Thanksgiving or Christmas. The original recipe comes from 'The Chesapeake Bay Cookbook', by John Shields (highly recommended!) but I've goofed-around with it a bit. I...

I attended a funeral recently where the repast included an amazing Cream of Crab Soup, and I wanted to find a recipe. Since I'm a Marylander and love their crabcakes, Phillips is my first go-to for 'crab anything'. On their website, I found Shirley Phillips' recipe: http://www.phillipsfoods.com/recipe/shirley%e2%80%b0uss-original-cream-of-crab-soup/When you are taking care of a sick person who is trying to get his appetite back, you often wind up cooking things you don't normally eat; and instead of cooking double meals all the time you just wind up throwing in the towel and grabbing whatever you can here and there. Since Thanksgiving,...

The secret to perfect biscuits is hotly contested: Lard or butter? Milk or buttermilk? Baking powder or soda? (Or both?) Every Southern home cook has an opinion, but these days, chefs from all over the country are joining in the conversation, digging through old church cookbooks and grandma’s recipe box to find the perfect version. Served simply with butter and jam, or as vehicles for fried chicken, sausage or sawmill gravy, these flaky little numbers are all delicious.

This morning we showed up at Moore Square at 9:00 a.m., just like we have done virtually every Saturday and Sunday for the last six years. We provide, without cost or obligation, hot coffee and a breakfast sandwich to anyone who wants one. We keep this promise to our community in cooperation with five different large suburban churches that help us with manpower and funding. Today officers from Raleigh Police Department prevented us from doing our work, for the first time ever. An officer said, quite bluntly, that if we attempted to distribute food, we would be arrested.

Rarely are currency exchange rates as good for the American dollar as that of Asian countries. In Asia, the American dollar carries a lot of clout and with the recent devaluation of the USD; it is a good thing that these countries offer an excellent trip for so little cost to Americans.

So many people have the ideas of the breed of dogs called "pittbulls". This bread had a very bad rap and who gives it to them is the people who poorly raise them and poeple who judge. I have been an american terrier owner all my life and they are the best dogs. They scored higher then little yap dogs and german sheapards are temparment test 82%. People need to stop being ignorate and just let them be. They get used for fighting and are torchered beyond belief. Look on Bad Rap web site and read the stories of this...

Linda Burnett, 23, a resident of Palm Springs, CA, was visiting her in-laws and while there went to a nearby supermarket to pick up some groceries. Several people noticed her sitting in her car with the windows rolled up and with her eyes closed, with both hands behind the back of her head. One customer who had been at the store for a while became concerned and walked over to the car. He noticed that Linda's eyes were now open, and she looked very strange. He asked her if she was okay, and Linda replied that she'd been shot in...
