Arizona Republican Rep. Ben Quayle told The Daily Caller that Attorney General Eric Holder gave him false testimony under oath about Operation Fast and Furious wiretap application documents during a June 7 House Judiciary Committee hearing. Quayle said the Department of Justice’s inspector general report proves that Holder lied to him while under oath during the hearing. “I saw earlier that Holder is basically doing a victory dance and that he thinks this [inspector general] report exonerates him and there was no dishonesty with Congress — that’s just a blatant lie,” Quayle said in a phone interview. “I mean, he...

Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) defeated fellow freshman Republican Rep. Ben Quayle Tuesday, bringing to an end one of the cycle’s most heated member-versus-member primaries. With 94 percent of precincts reporting, Schweikert led Quayle 53 percent to 47 percent, according to the Associated Press, which called the race for Schweikert. Arizona gained an additional House seat following the decennial redistricting process. The new lines also prompted some reshuffling among the state’s current delegation. Quayle was faced with a choice: run in the swing 9th district or the more Republican 6th district. He chose the latter last winter, setting off a fierce...

Arizona Republican Rep. Ben Quayle asked Homeland Security committee chairman Rep. Peter King to bring Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano before his committee to answer questions about her decision to suspend immigration law enforcement programs in his state on Monday. Napolitano’s decision came in the wake of a Supreme Court decision that partially upheld Arizona’s controversial immigration enforcement law. While other parts of the law were struck down, the part allowing state and local law enforcement to inquire into someone’s immigration status remained. Quayle berated Napolitano’s decision in a letter to King, saying “we have entered upon a new...

(Ad Script) I’m Congressman Ben Quayle. Washington has treated Arizona with contempt. Instead of securing our borders President Obama has sued our state and made a mockery of our laws. Deadly drug cartels terrorize Mexico and menace our communities. And the Obama Justice Department gives us “Fast and Furious,” an outrageous scheme to sell thousands of guns to ruthless criminals. Those guns and criminals killed border agent Brian Terry. And the Obama administration accepts zero accountability for this disaster. Attorney General Holder is stonewalling the Congress, hiding the facts and hanging subordinates in the wind. Arizona’s largest trading partner is...

The following is the text of a campaign radio spot running on Phoenix area radio stations for Ben Quayle, (former VP Dan’s son) who’s locked in a primary battle with fellow Republican David Schweikert for the Republican nomination to an Arizona congressional seat: I’m Congressman Ben Quayle. Washington has treated Arizona with contempt. Instead of securing our borders President Obama has sued our state and made a mockery of our laws . . . Deadly drug cartels terrorize Mexico and menace our communities. And the Obama Justice Department gives us “Fast and Furious,” an outrageous scheme to sell thousands of...

Congressional support for controversial online piracy legislation eroded dramatically on Wednesday in the face of an unprecedented online protest supported by tech titans such as Google, Wikipedia and Facebook. Several key senators withdrew their support from the Senate's Protect IP Act (PIPA), including Tea Party favorite Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), an elected member of his party's leadership. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), who leads the Senate GOP's campaign team, said the legislation should be put on hold, while Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), a sponsor and the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, retreated from the...

Arizona is a fascinating state because of the extreme reactions its controversial legislation seems to elicit from the country. It’s definitely the Wild West when it comes to legislation, with the recently passed immigration law known as SB1070. Then there is Arizona’s Proposition 200 from 2004 that required proof of citizenship in order to register to vote. It was approved by Arizona voters but was recently struck down by the 9th Circuit Court, dealing a blow to the very integrity of our elections. And don’ t forget the current legislative endeavors including a proposition that directly confronts the unconstitutional mandates...

Ben Quayle, the 33-year-old son of former Vice President Dan Quayle, narrowly topped a crowded GOP field in the contest to succeed retiring Rep. John Shadegg (R) in Arizona's 3rd congressional district. With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Quayle collared 22.7 percent of the vote. Steve Moak, a successful Paradise Valley entrepreneur, was in second place with 18 percent, while Jim Waring was third with 17.4 percent, trailed by seven other candidates.

Top Democrats are firing back at House candidate Ben Quayle, son of former Vice President Dan Quayle, for running a new campaign ad that slashes President Obama by calling him "the worst president in history." Brad Woodhouse, spokesman for the Democratic National Committee, told CNN that the candidate for a U.S. House seat from Arizona has no standing to judge Obama. "The son of the worst vice president ever may think he has some wisdom on the job performance of political leaders, but if he thinks a president whose actions have saved the country from a second Great Depression, reformed...

Here is a fantastic new ad put out by Ben Quayle – son of former Vice-President Dan Quayle – and a GOP candidate for Congress in Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District. Quayle comes right out at the beginning of the ad and says, “Barack Obama is the worst President in History.” He finishes the ad with, “Somebody has to go to Washington and knock the hell out of the place.”

Just announced on FOX by Dan Quayle. I think this is the seat being vacated by J. Shadegg.
