Covid cases are on the rise again. Hospitalizations have spiked noticeably since the beginning of July. But doctors say we're far from a place of panic. There's also promising new protection on the horizon as a highly contagious new variant spreads. As North Texas prepares for the return to school and enjoys the last bit of summer, the CDC is keeping a close watch on those COVID cases. In the first hospitalization spike, we’ve seen this year, just over 8,000 hospital admissions were reported on July 22. That was up 12% compared to the prior week.

Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs will be the next governor of Arizona, barring a recount that says otherwise. And when the Democrat is sworn in, she’ll likely thank her handlers privately for their media strategy in getting her over the finish line after looking like the underdog going into Election Day against outspoken Republican Kari Lake. Hobbs embraced the same strategy that served Joe Biden as a candidate and continues to serve him as president: almost entirely avoiding the media, shunning any interviewer who may ask a tough question and rejecting the opportunity to debate an opponent. Hobbs did...

The latest polling shows Joe Biden losing the 2024 Democrat New Hampshire primary to Pete Buttigieg. As far as sitting presidents go, not even Lyndon Johnson in 1968 was in this bad shape for reelection. The University of New Hampshire Survey Center released a poll Tuesday showing that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg would beat His Fraudulency Joe Biden 17 to 16 percent in the 2024 New Hampshire Democrat primary. This is also a poll of likely Democrat primary voters. Her Vice Fraudulency Kamala Harris only attracts six percent support, losing to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (ten percent), Gov. Gavin Newsom (ten...

The Biden administration has decided not to allow Fourth of July fireworks at Mount Rushmore — citing the COVID-19 pandemic — in a reversal of former President Donald Trump’s decision to allow them at the national monument. The National Parks Service made the call despite Biden saying in a primetime speech Thursday that COVID-19 likely will wane to the point of life nearing normal by July 4. Parks Service Regional Director Herbert Frost wrote to South Dakota’s tourism office that it it is “only prudent to make plans based on the best available science and public health guidance available today.”......

White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield was interviewed Thursday morning by CNN host Alisyn Camerota regarding how the Biden administration will deal with networks that are “willfully lying” or spreading dishonest information. Camerota asked Bedingfield about a line in Biden’s inaugural speech in which he talked about fighting “lies told for power and for profit,” and if he was specifically talking about certain media outlets that allegedly lied about the 2020 election results. Camerota added in her question: “We know who they are. They are right-wing companies; some are more fringe than others, at this point, or more extreme than...

At 9:52 a.m. on Monday, the Joe Biden campaign announced the candidate would not be making any public appearances for the day. “Biden campaign has called a lid at 9:52 a.m.,” Fox News producer Pat Ward wrote on Twitter. On Saturday, the campaign called another lid, the 10th time in the next-to-last month before Election Day.

Less than six weeks before the election, one of the most profound disappointments among some of Joe Biden’s supporters is that he doesn’t even seem to be trying. If some Democrats are correct, crushing “The Donald” should have been easy. After all (according to them), Trump is an impeached, sex-offending, tax-evading, white supremacist, coronavirus-mismanaging, sexist, racist, Islamophobic, homophobic, mysogynistic, sexist liar who is wildly unpopular. And Biden has long showed a hefty advantage in the polls. If all of that’s true, then Biden need do little more than show up, and winning should be a piece of cake — a...

The first presidential debate is next Tuesday, and I don't see Biden surviving. His campaign has been playing "hide the Crypt-Keeper" since spring, occasionally proving to the public that he's still ticking by having him tussle with a teleprompter while "objective journalists" participate in make-believe interviews. Biden's cognitive decline is now so steep that he begins reading pre-written answers to pre-written questions, forgets what he's doing halfway through, and settles for stringing syllables together that sound English-y in a non–native speaker sort of way. He is a man forever in search of a thought but finding none, while the press...

77-year-old Joe Biden left his basement on Friday and traveled to Ground Zero in NYC and Shanksville, Pennsylvania to pay his respects on the 19th anniversary of 9/11. It was a big day for Biden even though he didn’t answers questions from reporters or give a press conference. “I’m not going to make any news today. I’m not going to talk about anything other than 9/11. We took all our advertising down. It’s a solemn day. That’s how we’re going to keep it, OK? You can determine whether I make news but I’m not going to be holding any press...

Speaker Nancy Pelosi told media on Thursday "I don't think there should be any debates." Pelosi said she thinks no one should associate with President Trump and that debating him would legitimize his position as President of the United States. She said Trump was "stalking Hillary Clinton" in the 2016 debates.

Former Vice President Joe Biden accepted the Democrat presidential nomination Thursday, but his speech drew fewer viewers than Hillary Clinton did in 2016, according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. The Hill reports: Biden’s speech was watched by 21.8 million people on TV, according to initial figures from Nielsen, beating out the early numbers for other major speeches at the convention earlier in the week. The figure, which does not include online streaming of the speech, is expected to grow when additional networks are added. […] Still, the initial numbers mark a 21 percent drop from Clinton’s speech at...

... In a statement last month, his folks insisted: “Biden does not believe that police should be defunded.” Later, though, asked if money should be “redirected” away from cops, he replied, “Yes, absolutely.” And the charter for his alliance with Bernie Sanders vows to “reinvigorate community policing . . . and make smart investments to incentivize departments to build effective partnerships with social workers and mental-health and substance-use counselors” — which aligns with the #Defunders’ goals. Yet, then on Wednesday, as a poll showed 81 percent of blacks want as much, or more, police presence, Biden — lo and behold! — called...

The Trump campaign trolled Joe Biden (D) — who has refused to hold in-person campaign events and continues to, largely, reside in his basement — in an August 6 letter to the Commission on Presidential Debates, while asking for a guarantee that the former vice president will “definitely appear on stage, in person.” The Trump campaign this week asked the commission for the addition of a fourth, or earlier, debate. While the commission did not approve of the request, it left the door open, telling the Trump campaign that it would consider a fourth debate “if the candidates were to...

He’s Biden his time. Joe Biden is not expected to pick a running mate until at least Aug. 10. The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee had previously said he expected to name someone to the job by the first of the month.

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s recent decision to duck a fourth presidential debate tells you everything you need to know about the presumptive Democrat nominee’s rapidly depleting stamina: the man is already too tired to run a full campaign against President Trump. When the Trump Campaign offered Biden a chance to participate in a fourth debate this fall — to take place a few weeks ahead of the others in order to give both candidates a chance to reach early voters before they cast their ballots in this historic election — the former vice president and his team decided to...

Democratic strategist James Carville said there is a "significant chance" that President Donald Trump drops out of the race. In an interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Thursday, Carville said the "Moscow Mitch" strategy to save the Senate will involve throwing Trump under the bus. JAMES CARVILLE: I think there is a significant chance he doesn't run. I mean, this thing is going so poorly. He's so far back. To me, it doesn't make much sense for him to run. (emphasis mine)
