A border-watch group will alter its plans for an elaborate border security fence southeast of Tucson to accommodate the needs of the host rancher, a spokeswoman said Wednesday. The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps will be building two parallel 14-foot high, 150-feet-long steel mesh fences over the Memorial Day weekend to serve as a model on Jack Ladd's ranch in Palominas, but its design will be changed at his request, spokeswoman Connie Hair said.
