Iran on Friday banned U.S. wrestlers from an important international tournament this month in response to President Donald Trump's executive order forbidding visas for Iranians, the official IRNA news agency reported. A senior Iranian cleric vowed, meanwhile, that his country would continue its missile program despite threats from the Trump administration that it was preparing to levy new sanctions.

Doug Adler does tennis commentary for ESPN. Strike that. Doug Adler used to do tennis commentary for ESPN. After several years working matches for the sports channel, the former tennis pro was advised that his services would no longer be necessary. Full disclosure. I've known Adler for 20 years. Before two back surgeries and a shoulder surgery put my tennis-playing days out to pasture, I hit balls with him at a neighborhood club. More precisely, he would hit the ball to me, and I would attempt to return it. At the club, Adler was well-liked. If there were a bad...

Just so you know, I voted for Hillary (Clinton). But when you think about it’s only been two weeks right? Or even less (someone interrupts to say it’s been 10 days). We’ve got to attack this issue here. So basically, I think that when you think about all the negativity that’s happened within a 10-day period, however many days it’s been, it’s already too much. It’s already crazy. It’s already affecting people’s hearts and souls and lives in such a negative way, in my opinion. Coupling that insightful analysis with the political prognostication for which he is absolutely not known,...

"...Just so you know, I voted for Hillary [Clinton]," Wilson said in the video. "But, when you think about it's only been, what, two weeks ... We've got to attack this issue here. Basically, I think that when you think about all the negativity that's happened within a 10-day period, or however many days it's been, it's already too much. It's already crazy, it's already affecting people's hearts and souls and lives in such a negative way, in my opinion. "Now you kind of recognize that people's feelings are getting hurt, people's lives getting changed, people are getting sent back...

Just six days before Super Bowl LI, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had one message to his dad, Tom Brady Sr., about lashing out at NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. His message? Shut it! Which Rutgers alum is X-factor in Super Bowl LI? "I've banned my dad from talking," Brady said Monday on WEEI in Boston, "so he's no longer available to the media." Brady's comments come one day after his dad was critical of Goodell for his handling of Deflategate. "When it happens to your son, it's a whole different context," Brady Sr. said of Deflategate. "Or your daughter...

A devout woman, she credits her personal relationship with Jesus Christ for enabling her to keep competing. “The Lord keeps putting me together – I've broken every bone in my body, I have a titanium leg and I have a plate and screws in my arm,” she said. “I just follow the lead of the Lord and try to be obedient.” And, she added with a smile, “I don't want to retire, and I think I have the mount back on Blue (Haze of Fire).”

When President Obama praised Peyton Manning for the way he "conducted himself on and off the field," he might have accidentally endorsed the next Republican senator from Indiana. With the first pick in the 1998 draft, the Indianapolis Colts selected Manning for quarterback. And with their ballots in the coming 2018 midterm, the Indiana electorate would certainly choose him for Senate. Looking to beat vulnerable Democrat Sen. Joe Donnelly, Republicans could do a lot worse than adding the Super Bowl Champion to their roster. The GOP front office would have to move quickly though. A lifelong Republican, Manning spoke at...

The last thing the United States needs right now is another celebrity personality sticking a nose into politics, another person who has never lived the struggles of average Americans developing the policies to fix average lives. So of course right now is when Peyton Manning surfaces on the political scene, set to flank President Donald Trump at a Senate-House GOP retreat in Philadelphia that began Wednesday. Manning will reportedly speak at the event, part of a lineup that includes Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The West Lafayette High School boys basketball coach is calling the president of the United States a bigot after two of his players were called the N-word. He wrote about it in a piece published by the Lafayette Journal and Courier. “I finally decided to do it publicly after this incident,” said Dave Wood, who is currently in his 23rd season as the Red Devils’ head coach. Wood said two of his players were walking from Happy Hollow Elementary School to the high school on Monday when an SUV stopped nearby. He said the people...

Is Olivia Munn upset that Aaron Rodgers hasn't proposed yet? Sources say Olivia thinks it's taking too long for her and Aaron to get engaged. And she's jealous that JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rogers are making wedding plans. Is Olivia Munn upset she isn’t engaged? Sources claim that she’s resentful that Jordan Rodgers popped the question before his brother, Aaron, did. Olivia, 36, and Aaron Rodgers, 33, have been dating since April of 2014. JoJo and Jordan Rodgers only knew each other a few months before getting engaged on The Bachelorette. Of course, that was the whole goal of The...

No kidding. Very happy news for me yesterday: Detroit Tiger Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez was voted into the Hall of Fame. (What? He played for some other teams as well? I don’t care.) Magglio Ordonez deserved better than his one-year-and-out fate. Carlos Guillen deserved better than zero votes. You may disagree, and you might even care about players who never played for the Tigers, although I can’t imagine why. But that’s one of the things the Hall of Fame elections are for - debate among fans.

African Americans are quick to snatch somebody's black card. For the uninitiated, taking someone's black card is tantamount to kicking an offending party out of the proverbial club. It's a way of saying, "You're no longer one of us," as in, "Stacey Dash be gone." --SNIP-- "Conservative blacks are being intimidated by liberal blacks," he tweeted. "Why take my black card because I don't think like you? Why?" I called Lusk, a former Eagles running back, Tuesday to see if he cared to elaborate and I got an earful.

Not sure how many people saw this and I didn't see it posted so I wanted it to get some visibility. The race hucksters are not happy about the meeting with Jim Brown and Ray Lewis. They are deathly afraid that Trump can make serious in roads into the black community. Obama is starting to feel like he is no longer the President (which is probably why he's yelling about Russia now) and interviews like this is probably a big part of that.

Famed Cleveland Browns running back Jim Brown speaks to CNN after meeting with President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday. JIM BROWN: We're not bourgeoisie, we're not above the people. But I feel in love with him because he really talks about helping African-America, black people, and that's why I'm here.
