Liz Cheney: The U.S. is "sleepwalking into a dictatorship" Former Republican Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney says that if Donald Trump is elected it will mean the end of the republic, and expresses alarm at how comfortable her party has become with the man and his lies. Cheney talks with John Dickerson about politics, her career, and Trump's White House run in a wide-ranging interview for "CBS News Sunday Morning," to be broadcast December 3 and streamed on Paramount+. Cheney also talks with Dickerson about Speaker of the House Mike Johnson; her new book, "Oath and Honor: A Memoir and a...

Protesters jump onto subway tracks, clash with NYPD over Jordan Neely’s death At least seven people were arrested in Manhattan Saturday after shutting down subway service and clashing with NYPD officers while protesting the chokehold death of homeless man Jordan Neely, law enforcement sources told The Post. Dozens of demonstrators jumped onto the subway tracks at Lexington Avenue and East 63rd Street around 6:15 p.m., forcing an oncoming Q train to slam on the brakes at the mouth of the tunnel, video shows. “No justice, no peace!” the protesters chanted as police can be heard struggling to call for order...

The president is not well: The umpteenth reminders of Trump’s mental state and the consequences Every parent has warily confronted the hypothetical question: What would you do if you suspected your child was unwell? Not physically, but emotionally unwell, or mentally unstable? Imagine learning your teenager, for example, had been yelling demeaning slurs at the girls in his class, harassing them and calling them names. And that he’d been secretly using his social media accounts to go on late-night rants against perceived enemies, attacking their looks, and again, calling them names in unending, seething, rambling posts. Or that he’d been...

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has weighed in on the weekend's violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, castigating Donald Trump without naming him. 'We can have no tolerance for an ideology of racial hatred. There are no good neo-nazis,' McConnell said in a statement. The choice of words, while careful, appeared to push back against Trump's claim on Tuesday that some 'very fine people' were among a crowd of white supremacists who rallied in the college town. McConnell's wife, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, stood next to Trump on Tuesday as he insisted both sides of the weekend's clash bore some responsibility for...
  • GOP ELITES PLOT TO PURGE TRUMP

In the Cleveland debate, Donald Trump refused to commit to support whomever the Republican Party nominates in 2016. Trump would be wise to maintain his freedom of action. For there is a plot afoot in the Washington Post Conservative Club to purge Trump from the Republican Party before the primaries begin. “A political party has a right to … secure its borders,” asserts the Post’s George Will, “a duty to exclude interlopers.” Will wants The Donald “excommunicated” and locked out of all GOP debates until he kneels and takes a loyalty oath to the nominee. “Marginalizing Trump” carries no risk...

According to Obama’s Green Job’s Czar, Van Jones, Republicans “are a**holes.” And guess what? “Barack Obama is not an asshole.” So there you have it in a nutshell. Barack Obama, the non-asshole wearing the white hat, is struggling in his attempt to force his socialist agenda down the throats of unwilling Americans and it’s those asshole Republicans wearing the black hats that are to blame. As I stated in a recent AT article, Americans have been called mobsters, racists, partisan, stupid, un-American, and mean, just to name of few of the accusations pouring out of this administration. And now we...

I put up my McCain/Palin sign last Tuesday. Friday night, it was gone, replaced with an orange cone. I put out my spare McCain Palin sign, reserved for my parents, SAT morning.....gone between 1AM/6AM. Sunday night...same thing...same timeframe. Any suggestions? I put out my last sign...I am thinking of getting some constertina wire and putting it around my last McCain Palin sign with an additional hand-made sign stating " I have to take these measures due to intolerant liberals stealing my 1st Amendment rights". Anyways, I'm in Little Rock, AR. Anyone else seeing these events? Been at the same house...

OTTAWA, March 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Canada's Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) has once again decided to ignore scientific advice by setting the total allowable catch (TAC) for harp seals well above what the population can sustain. Conservationists around the world and experts with IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare - http://www.ifaw.org) are appalled that the Canadian government has seen fit to actually increase the quota despite scientific evidence that the population is in decline. "The blatant disregard for precautionary management principles demonstrates to the world that the Canadian government does not value science or conservation," said Sheryl Fink, a...

MOSUL, Iraq -- Jennifer Guay went to war to be a grunt. And the 170-pound former bartender from Leeds, Maine, with cropped red hair and a penchant for the bench press, has come pretty close. It was mid-February and Guay, 26, an Army specialist who was the first woman to be assigned as an infantry combat medic, was spending 10 hours a day on missions with the 82nd Airborne Division, dodging rockets and grenades in the crowded streets of Mosul. "Break-break-break: U.S. soldier down!" a hard-edged voice came over the radio. A gun battle had just broken out. In less...

  • Jupiter homeowner faces foreclosure for flying U.S. flag (This may be a dupe)

Defiant flag flier George Andres once again is facing the prospect of losing his Jupiter home after a Palm Beach County judge ruled Wednesday that his homeowners association could go forward with a foreclosure sale next month to collect legal fees. Andres, a Marine veteran, said he was worried about losing his home, but he vowed to appeal the latest ruling in a legal saga that has spanned more than two years. "We are going to fight," Andres said. It is the second time in recent months that Andres' home has moved toward the auction block. He was granted a...
