A group hoping to put an amendment enshrining the right to abortion in Arizona's constitution said Tuesday that they had gathered enough signatures for the measure to qualify for the ballot in November. There is a requirement for the collection of 383,923 signatures of support for constitutional amendments in Arizona, and Dawn Penich, communications manager for Arizona for Abortion Access, said they have amassed more than 500,000 signatures already. NBC News was first to report on the signatures. Penich said they plan to turn the signatures in closer to the deadline in early July and acknowledged there could be legal...

Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) said Tuesday on CNN’s “The Lead” that former President Donald Trump was using “extreme” language on immigration because he was “nervous his base is going to leave him.” Sununu said, “Everyone knows Donald Trump’s record. You know, as Republicans, we want that border secure. You know, we want the right fiscal policies in place. We wanted to drain the swamp. He didn’t do any of it. And there’s no, you don’t even have to run ads on that. He just didn’t get it done. ”

Police also wrongly cited him for "improper hand signal" after the man flipped them off.Last year, Delaware police prevented 54-year-old Jonathan Guessford from holding a sign warning drivers about a speed trap and wrongfully cited him for "improper hand signal" after he flipped off the officers who seized and tore up his sign. Police have now agreed to pay Guessford $50,000 as part of a settlement reached in a lawsuit alleging that police violated his civil rights. Following several run-ins with the police, Guessford decided to "stage protests whenever he saw police officers stopping unsuspected vehicles using a radar gun,"...

This holographic concept could explain a mystery about black holes, but the math may not represent reality. As theoretical physics delves deeper into the fundamental nature of reality, we’re left to grapple with the questions it leaves us. For example, some physicists claim that our universe is merely an illusion, a product of quantum machinations happening in a lower-dimensional setting—in other words, a hologram. Black Holes May Be Evidence The trouble began with those bothersome boogeymen of the cosmos, black holes. On the surface (and careful readers will be rewarded later with the realization that this is a pun), black holes...

Buyer beware. If you walk into a supermarket, convenience store, or other retailer anywhere in America and notice that they have Mountain Dew and Sunny Delight in their refrigerators, and Swedish Fish, Jolly Ranchers, and Twizzlers for sale in the candy aisle, you wouldn’t think anything about it. But if you wandered into a shop in England and saw those same drinks and candies, then there’s a good chance that retailer is about to get a visit from the Trading Standards office. Trading Standards, the local authorities that enforce consumer-protection regulations, have seized thousands of dollars worth of common American candies...

Do you think the punishment fits the crime?Rosemary Hayne, a 39-year-old woman from Ohio, just received perhaps the lightest sentencing possible after assaulting a Chipotle employee. On November 28, Judge Timothy Gilligan of Parma Municipal Court in Ohio ruled on Hayne’s case, noting just how obscene a crime it was. “You didn’t get your burrito bowl the way you like it, and this is how you respond?” Judge Gilligan said during the sentencing. “This is not ‘Real Housewives’ of Parma. This behavior is not acceptable.” The entire real-life episode was filmed by a bystander who posted the video to Reddit,...

Shortly after replacing disgraced and ousted Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Mike Johnson agreed to make good with the base and release the J6 footage from Capitol security cameras that the Capitol police have kept under wraps, with some limited exceptions. Johnson’s release of the J6 footage has done a great deal to re-introduce Americans to the falsity of the official narrative of January 6th. The latest release includes footage of Capitol police firing “flash bangs” unnecessarily at the crowd, as well as police opening doors and behavior of protestors inside the Capitol that fails to conform to any definition of “terrorism.”...

Woke books that were bought for huge advances by 'inexperienced' editors have flopped commercially, insiders say. 'Ideological fanatics' allowing their politics to dictate professional decisions have seen profits slump, according to industry experts. Among the works responsible for huge losses is a hotly anticipated memoir by the actor Eliot Page about his journey transitioning. 'Pageboy' sold for a $3 million advance but has sold just 68,000 copies. Industry standards suggest for publishers, paying roughly $7 per book sold is considered a good deal It means that even novels that sell tens of thousands of copies such as Page's can still...

We've seen a lot of folks fleeing the Democrats in the past few years, and it's little surprise given the poor results that Joe Biden has delivered to the country. There have been reports for a while now about a significant portion of the black vote moving away from Democrats and Joe Biden. Now, every election, there seems to be big speculation on that. But the New York Times noted an astonishing number that should make everyone sit up and take notice. In a poll of residents in battleground states by The New York Times and Siena College this fall, 22...

Are you panicked yet?You should be. I have reliable evidence that we are all going to die!Of course, this has always been true and will remain so for the foreseeable future. But despite the media attempts to get people worked up about a “mysterious” outbreak of pneumonia in Chinese children, there is no indication that anything mysterious is happening in China or elsewhere in the world. It appears to be true that children in some regions of China are getting pneumonia and winding up in hospitals, as far as I can tell in a news environment where trust has been broken,...

When Connecticut Democrat Ned Lamont took office as the Governor, he had some big climate change plans in place. And with his party controlling much of the state legislature, he had plenty of support for those ambitions. One of the big ticket items he was pushing for was a ban on the sale of all gasoline-powered vehicles in the state by 2035. For a time, it looked like the plan would go through. In fact, the legislature was scheduled to vote on it today. But now it appears that the vote will not be taking place and the announcement will...

(Reuters) -Republican mega-donor Bernie Marcus said on Tuesday he would likely still give money to Donald Trump's 2024 presidential bid if the former president was convicted of a crime - but the billionaire does not plan to be one of his biggest financial backers. Marcus, a co-founder of home improvement retailer the Home Depot, announced earlier this month that he was supporting Trump, the runaway frontrunner for the 2024 Republican nomination contest that kicks off on Jan. 15 in Iowa. Trump faces four criminal cases, including state and federal charges stemming from his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss...

A discarded mask lay on a sidewalk in Orange, Calif., on June 19, 2020. (John Fredricks/The Epoch Times)People who wore protective masks were found to be more likely to contract COVID-19 infections than those who didn't, according to a recent Norwegian study. The peer-reviewed study, published in the journal Epidemiology and Infection on Nov. 13, analyzed mask use among 3,209 individuals from Norway. Researchers followed them for 17 days, and then asked the participants about their use of masks. In the past two years, there has been a notable surge in the number of cardiac arrest cases in Victoria, Australia. From 2021 to 2022, cases increased by 5.8 percent compared to the previous year, reaching a historical high. These numbers have sparked public concerns about the potential side effects of vaccines.(PeopleImages.com - Yuri A/Shutterstock)According to the annual report from the Victorian Ambulance Cardiac Arrest Registry, 6,934 cases were recorded from 2020 to 2021, representing a 2.5 percent increase compared to the previous year and marking the highest number of cardiac arrest events in the state at that time. Financial statements of the US Federal Reserve, which consists of the board of governors in Washington and twelve district reserve banks across the country, indicate that the consolidated system has generated both capital and operating losses for the past couple of years. The Fed was created in 1913 to issue and circulate an “elastic currency” that could respond to consumers’ demand for cash, end bank runs known then as “money panics,” and serve as a “lender of last resort” to the nation’s commercial banks. How is it possible that the Fed could be losing money after one hundred years of...

It has been nearly three years since the January 6 Capitol protest. For just as long, Americans have been force-fed a story about the fateful events of that day: even before the smoke cleared, and in many ways, it never did, the shambolic episode was labeled a deadly “insurrection.” The incoming administration was handed an invaluable support: they could now label anyone who doubted the legitimacy of their weak and doddering incumbent a suspect American, an “election denier” and a threat to “our democracy.” The narrative spread like a virus through the state-affiliated mass media, and became, arguably, the defining...

Hamas terrorists forced the children held in captivity to watch videos of the atrocities they carried out inside Israel on October 7, the aunt of Eitan Yahalomi, 12, told French TV following his release on Monday night. Speaking to BFM on Tuesday, Deborah Cohen described the conditions that her nephew endured throughout his 52 days in Hamas captivity. “When he arrived in Gaza, all of the residents, all of them, beat him up. He’s a 12-year-old child,” Cohen said, and added that “every time one of the children there cried, they threatened them with rifles to shut them up.” “I...
