Leaked audiotape of Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif indicates he had no knowledge of covert Israeli military strikes before former secretary of state John Kerry provided him with the information, new details that contradict the State Department's recent defense of Kerry. These details are likely to further fuel calls from leading Republicans for Kerry's firing or resignation. The New York Times reported that Zarif said on the tape that Kerry told him Israel launched 200 airstrikes against Iranian interests in Syria. The Times did not provide further details on that issue. But an independent translation of the audiotape commissioned by...

Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens (R) has a nearly 40-point lead over the next closest contender in the GOP Senate primary, according to an internal survey conducted by former President Trump’s pollster. The survey of 400 GOP primary voters, which was commissioned by the Greitens campaign, finds him at 48 percent support, followed by state Attorney General Eric Schmitt at 11 percent. Schmitt is the only other announced candidate, but Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Mo.) pulls 9 percent support and Rep. Jason Smith (R-Mo.) clocks in at 7 percent in the poll. Twenty-six percent of GOP primary voters said they’re undecided....

There have been efforts to sue and admonish China for its role in the coronavirus spread...The congresswoman from the Saint Louis region, Ann Wagner, says she is taking an approach that is more realistic in a bill she filed last week to take away Chinese-owned assets in America. The proposed Compensation for Americans Act directs the President to employ a series of measures including creating a public repository of Chinese assets and holdings in the United States, imposing travel restrictions on Chinese officials and medical equipment suppliers and removing China from its status in the United Nations and the World...

U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Ballwin) survived the closest race of her congressional career, holding off Democrat Cort VanOstran in a year that saw key House districts across the country flip from red to blue. VanOstran, a 30-year-old Clayton lawyer with a Harvard degree, ran an energetic shoe-leather campaign, betting that a healthcare platform would persuade voters in a traditionally Republican stronghold to consider an earnest Democrat.
  • Five GOP lawmakers mulling bid to lead conservative caucus

Early jockeying has begun in the race for chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee — the largest caucus on Capitol Hill, and one that has seen its influence grow with Donald Trump in the White House. At least five House Republicans told The Hill they are weighing bids to replace the group's chairman, Rep. Mark Walker (N.C.). Known informally as the RSC, the caucus imposes a two-year term limit on its chairman, giving more members a chance to lead. So far, the possible contenders are: four-term Rep. Vicky Hartzler (Mo.); three-term Rep. Roger Williams (Texas); two-term Rep. Barry Loudermilk...

U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner has joined the chorus of Missouri leaders calling on Gov. Eric Greitens to step down in the wake of a legislative report that details allegations of sexual and physical abuse. Wagner, a Republican from the St. Louis area, said that she was disgusted and disheartened after reading the report.
  • With hopes of 'wave election,' Democrats lining up to take on Rep. Ann Wagner

By most standard political metrics, U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner, R-Ballwin, should be able to safely count on re-election to a fourth term in November. But at least four Democrats are banking on this not being a standard political year, with a historically unpopular Republican president, an even less popular Republican Congress — and Wagner tied to both.
  • What’s Going on With the Missouri Senate Race?

Missouri is playing host to one of the year’s most competitive Senate races, and Attorney General Josh Hawley is supposed to be among the top Republican recruits. But some Republicans from the Show-Me State are starting to raise questions about his campaign’s performance so far. Republicans are still optimistic about their chances of defeating Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill in a state President Donald Trump won by 20 points. And they’re generally still confident in Hawley, who garnered more votes than Trump in his run for attorney general in 2016.

Congresswoman and former United States Ambassador to Luxembourg Ann Wagner (R-MO) appeared on The Dana Loesch show and placed the blame, of the stand down order to those that could have offered assistance to Americans under attack, on none other than Barack Obama. Loesch asked Wagner, “Because you have been an ambassador, you have been overseas with similar responsibilities and similar missions – who gives such an order to stand down? Where does that come from?” “The President of the United States,” the Missouri congresswoman affirmed.

Could Missouri Republican Ann Wagner be the answer that GOP'ers are looking for? Although the first deadline passed for embattled Congressman Todd Akin, Missouri Republican, to withdraw from his U.S. Senate race against Sen. Claire McCaskill, a Democrat, without a court order and a fine, grassroots and Washington D.C. establishment conservatives I have spoken to are beginning to rally behind Ann Wagner. She is currently running for Mr. Akin's 2nd Congressional district seat and is said to have supporters asking her to run against McCaskill should Akin leave the Missouri Senate race before the next September deadline passes. According...

When Ann Wagner, the former United States ambassador to Luxembourg, returned from abroad in 2009, she felt that she has not entirely left Europe behind. “I felt, after I left, that perhaps socialism had begun to follow me across the pond,” she told The Daily Caller in a phone interview. In an attempt to help end what she views as the government’s overreach during President Barack Obama’s tenure, Wagner is running for chair of the Republican National Committee.
