Trapped in the confines of four walls, springtime spent in quarantine can feel uninspiring, if not isolating. But as Gregory Chiate’s son looked outside his window in Marin County one recent morning, he realized he wasn’t alone. On top of a towering conifer outside perched a bald eagle: the first one his father had seen since they moved there 11 years ago. The birds have been making a comeback, according to Shannon Burke, an interpretive naturalist with Marin County Parks, though it’s not necessarily because the area has been deserted by people. (Coyotes are a different story in San Francisco.)...

Now check this out...the nest is located near a fish spawning-hatchery so you can very often see live fish brought to the nest (by the parents of course) to feed the young. A bond of $1 million was set in court this morning for an American Eagle flight attendant accused of stealing another man's identity to fly around the world. Jophan Porter, 38, was charged with six counts of identity fraud Friday and is currently in Miami-Dade County jail. He also faces multiple counts of possessing stolen or fraudulent identification and forgery. Porter assumed the identity of Anthony Frair, who lives in New York and claims not to know the man, authorities claim. Authorities said Porter is from Guyana and is in the country illegally.

Monday it was tank tops. Thursday, brassieres were stolen. Forty brassieres, worth nearly $2,000, were stolen from Victoria's Secret in Paddock Mall on Thursday, according to police. On Monday, someone stole 101 tank tops worth nearly $1,800 from American Eagle Outfitters. An employee at Victoria's Secret told an officer she was assisting and observing customers Thursday when a man and woman asked for help. She said the woman stood in front of her holding a pink robe, while the man stood behind the woman holding a pair of yoga pants.
