Can someone please corroborate my story? I took a friend this morning for her American citizenship swearing-in ceremony in Atlanta, GA. She's been a kindergarten teacher for many years working LEGALLY with a green card. Last November she applied for American citizenship and passed her examination and interview. Today, she, ALONG WITH ABOUT FIFTY OTHERS, swore their allegiance to the United States and officially awarded a certificate of citizenship and a little American Flag and ushered out the door. Our president, Joe Biden, did not address these new Americans in any WRITTEN OR PRERECORDED presentation. I've checked into this, new...

A new Gallup poll shines a spotlight on the deep political divide in America and surely points to what the upcoming presidential election will be about. Gallup asked, "How proud are you to be an American?" Seventy-six percent of Republicans said "extremely proud" compared with 22 percent of Democrats. Broken down by age, 63% of those over 65 said "extremely proud," and only 24% of those 18 to 29. This tells us something about Nike's recent move to pull its Betsy Ross flag sneakers from the marketplace, having taken guidance from its ex-football star anti-hero, now-Nike corporate spokesman, Colin Kaepernick....

Growing up, I was – as I assume you were – inundated with lists of “the benefits of citizenship.” The list was long and capped, naturally, by the fact the United States was the best, strongest, freest nation on the planet. Being an American was a source of pride. But is it still? Do the benefits of citizenship still outweigh the alternative? As progressives cheer the dissolution of our southern border and, by extension, our sovereignty, it’s worth looking at the benefits of non-citizenship illegal aliens now enjoy and comparing them to the responsibilities of citizenship. Most people don’t like...

As we celebrate our nation's 237th birthday, a crucial facet of American life has all but vanished. We have forsaken, in a systematic and deliberate public manner, one of our most fundamental duties: fostering civic virtue in each and every one of our citizens. What does it mean to be an American? Politicians in both parties keep pushing to create a new "path to citizenship" for millions of illegal aliens. But if sovereignty and self-preservation still matter in Washington, citizenship must be guarded ferociously against those who would exploit and devalue it at every electoral whim. The pavers of the...

PTA parents must fight illegal alien educational spending Kevin Fobbs September 19, 2006 PTA parents: welcome to America 2006. Your child wants to play football or play in the school band or on the soccer team. Well you already know you have to dig a little deeper into your wallet due to school budget cuts. While the cost to parents handling out cash in order to keep their children in these extra curricular activities keeps going up, another part of state educational budget is actually exploding because those dollars are being diverted to educating illegal alien children because of an...

Almost two centuries ago, a small band of national patriots joined Texans to launch a battle for freedom and sent a unifying rallying cry through out our nation "Remember The Alamo!" Our nation is being threatened by a new Alamo, and the army is between 12 million and 20 million strong. The army is one that is creeping, walking, swimming and being driven in shadowy caravans across our nation's state borders. Instead of being armed with weapons of violence, this army is simply overwhelming American health care, education, and justice systems by refusing to enter our country legally. But the...

Her diary is said to be the second most read book worldwide, after the Bible. It has been translated into 67 languages and transformed into several stage and screen productions. It enshrined its teenage author as one of the 20th century's greatest witnesses to one of history's darkest evils, and it has been a beacon to others imprisoned by fanaticism and hate. Despite all Anne Frank accomplished, however, it appears that nearly 60 years after her death from typhus in Bergen-Belsen, she remains as stateless as she was when hidden away in her "Secret Annex" in the Netherlands, or wasting...
