Al Sharpton, on the sidelines of a meeting with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, said Thursday that “Empire” star Jussie Smollett should face "accountability to the maximum" if the actor indeed staged an attack last month initially described as a hate crime. “Whoever is wrong should pay the maximum. If Smollett is wrong, he ought to face accountability to the maximum,” the cable news host and activist told a throng of reporters on Thursday, after lunching with Sen. Harris at Sylvia’s, a landmark restaurant in New York City’s Harlem neighborhood.

Shortened title. Full title: Hate Hoax Promoters Kamala Harris and Al Sharpton Meet In Harlem Hours After Jussie Smollett Arrested In politics timing is everything, as the saying goes. And the timing of this meeting was perfect. 2020 Democratic Party presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) met with 2004 Democratic Party presidential candidate and Tawana Brawley race attack hoax promoter the Rev. Al Sharpton at Sylvia’s Restaurant in Harlem Thursday morning–just hours after accused race attack hoaxer Jussie Smollett, whom Harris had supported, was arrested in Chicago.

Sunday on his MSNBC show, “PoliticsNation,” Al Sharpton called on “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett to “face accountability to the maximum” if he staged a hate crime that he could blame on white President Donald Trump supporters to show they are homophobic and racist. Sharpton pointed out his reaction to the story when it first came out when he said the perpetrators should “suffer the maximum,” saying Smollett should do the same if he created the hoax.

This year's Super Bowl was a relatively blasé affair by most accounts. The Patriots won for the six time in its career. There were no memorable commercials except for a "Twilight Zone" reboot tease and an ad celebrating 100 years of the NFL. The halftime show was pretty underwhelming except for a jarring "Spongebob Squarepants" transition. The one good thing that anybody could say about the game is that there were barely any politics throughout the proceedings. Barely. About an hour before the game proper started, Al Sharpton gave an accusatory address to the NFL and its fans on MSNBC's...

Jay-Z isn't the only person upset with Travis Scott for agreeing to perform with Maroon 5 at the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show. Rev. Al Sharpton slammed Scott, claiming that Scott essentially turned his back on the Black Lives Matter movement and police brutality against people of color by agreeing to perform at the NFL's biggest night. "I think anyone that goes into the halftime show is in effect directly violating those that want to raise the question that the NFL should come to terms with what they have done and continue to do to Colin Kaepernick and those that...

On MSNBC, mentioning Susan Collins by name, Al Sharpton analogizes Kavanaugh supporters to people who would attend lynchings after going to church.

A black woman named Adwoa Lewis staged a fake hate crime and blamed it on Trump supporters A black woman named Adwoa Lewis complained to the police that she had received a racist handwritten note from four white teens who had slashed her car’s tire, shouted“Trump 2016!†and told her that she did not belong there.Lewis then filed a written complaint to the police. The police then realized that it was Lewis herself who had written the hateful note. The police have since charged her with making a false statement to the police.I didn’t know that anyone who was intelligent enough to...

By now you’ve probably seen this photo from Aretha Franklin’s funeral with Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Bill Clinton… …or, maybe you haven’t if you get your news from MSNBC:

MSNBC’s "PoliticsNation" host Rev. Al Sharpton called on President Donald Trump to be respectful in his rhetoric toward women but inadvertently misquoted legendary singer Aretha Franklin's most famous lyric. Sharpton was addressing Trump’s insults toward Omarosa Manigault Newman, the former White House aide and "Apprentice" contestant who wrote a new tell-all book criticizing him. Trump called Newman a "dog," a favorite insult of his that Sharpton called an "animalistic slur." "I think you might’ve learned the lesson this week, sometimes the dog bites back with a book deal," Sharpton said. Sharpton concluded his comments with a reference to Franklin's 1967...

Today, The Washington Free Beacon picked up an incredible soundbite of MSNBC’s Rev. Al Sharpton misspelling the late great Aretha Franklin's classic lyric, “R-E-S-P-E-C-T," as he attempted to lambaste President Donald J. Trump for saying that former White House staffer Omarosa Maginault Newman was "fired like a dog."Rev. Sharpton began by noting how often President Donald J. Trump loves to use the term “fired like a dog” or some variation of it, such as saying “Sally Yates choked like a dog” during her Senate confirmation hearing. He even highlighted how the President referred to Steve Bannon, who is often vilified...

Isn’t there anything Omarosa won’t say or do to get attention and pump up her book sales? In an interview aired by Al Sharpton on his MSNBC show today, Omarosa said of President Trump: “I believe he wants to start a race war in this country.”Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Journalist and former MSNBC host Touré confronted Virginia GOP Senate candidate Corey Stewart for saying “people are sick and tired of talking about race all the time.” Touré, joining Stewart and guest host Rev. Al Sharpton during Saturday’s edition of “AM Joy,” challenged Stewart on his comments, saying that race was part of "everything" in the U.S. “This is a white supremacist country and we have to deal with that in every way — in how we relate to the police, in how we relate to jobs, how we relate to the criminal justice everything — everything,” Touré said. “And...

With the mainstream media focusing on the one-year anniversary of the Charlottesville riots of last year, many news organizations are basically blaming President Trump for stoking the hatred and racial tension that led to the violence in that small college town, because of his coarse rhetoric on immigration and the NFL player protests. I will concede that Trump is not without blame in contributing to some of the coarseness of our society, but it’s hard to deny the fact that Trump has been consistent his whole, adult life. Trump has always been brash, arrogant, self-centered, abrasive in his language, and...

On Al Sharpton’s MSNBC show today, Spike Lee, after castigating President Trump for failing to “condemn hate” in his remarks after Charlottesville last year, said: “They’ve been able to manufacture, or combine, money with hate . . . Just to see these guys get on television and lie, and lie and lie. These guys — let’s go Brooklyn right now — they’ll put their mother on the corner for a dollar.”Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Troublemaker: The “Rev.” Al Sharpton, like all of his race-baiting colleagues, long ago ceased to be a useful force for change in America. That’s because long ago — in the 1960s — our country adopted a series of civil rights laws and regulations cementing the Constitution’s promise of equal treatment and justice for all. But in 2018 Sharpton continues to pretend like our country has made no progress at all when it comes to civil rights, so every time there is an incident involving a black man killed by a white person, he has to show up and needlessly stir...

In America today there is nothing worse than being called a racist. You can’t easily defend yourself against the life-changing, sometimes career-ending smear which evildoers can wield with impunity. “There is nothing worse for your career,” New York State Assemblyman Kieran Lalor (R), said on Fox and Friends, “there’s nothing worse for you as a person. A lot ofpeople don’t want to speak up because they’re going to be accused of being a racist.” Yet outrageous, even genocidal, statements are issued every day now by hate-filled black supremacists and their radical allies. In a case of deviancy having been...

Blue wave? What blue wave? Even Al Sharpton’s not seeing it. On Sharpton's MSNBC show this morning, Hugh Hewitt, seeing no blue wave, predicted that Republicans would pick up four to five Senate seats and hold the House. You might have expected Sharpton to sharply disagree. But to the contrary, he said: “We are hearing in the media ‘blue wave.’ But we really don’t know. I travel a lot; I’m on the ground a lot. I don’t feel a lot of energy; [though] more than Hugh gave us. I don’t think we’re at the cemetery, but I do think we’re...

NEW YORK (AP) — President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen and the Rev. Al Sharpton have met to renew a long acquaintance — and they’ve made a point of letting the public know. Both tweeted about their Friday get-together but left the subject of it a cliffhanger: “I bet you’re wondering what we could be talking about! Stay tuned,” Sharpton wrote. The meeting came with Cohen in the spotlight after federal agents raided his home, office and hotel room in April as part of an investigation into his business dealings, including a $130,000 payment he handled as part...

So much for the liberals’ lie that they’re only advocating “sensible” gun-safety regulation . . . Appearing on Al Sharpton’s MSNBC show this morning, Ben Jealous, the former President of the NAACP and now Maryland Dem gubernatorial candidate, seems to suggest banning shotguns. Commenting on the deadly shooting at the Capital Gazette in Maryland, Jealous said: “We will, in the next [Maryland state] legislative session, have to have a real conversation about how we finish the job here of our assault weapons ban. But we have to go much further. Journalists were killed with a shotgun.” Get the rest of...

Latest episode of Everything is Racist, starring Al Sharpton. On his MSNBC show this morning, Sharpton said: “I’ve not heard one word about if we find people coming across the Canadian border illegally, we’re going to grab their children. Because I don’t think America–the part of America that Trump thinks is his base–would tolerate snatching white babies from white mothers.”Get the rest of the story and view the video here.
