Nancy Pelosi’s daughter Alexandra and Bill Maher were busy perpetuating bigoted stereotypes this week while ridiculing poor white Southern voters. Alexandra is a videographer for Maher and did indeed cherry pick her subjects despite Maher’s claims. Meanwhile Maher tweeted on Super Tuesday, “Toothless Tuesday too tight to tally. The Alexandra Pelosi (daughter of Nancy) documentary, "Right America: Feeling Wronged," premeried on HBO last night. One word perfectly describes it: "tedious." Over and over and over again, Pelosi tries to hammer home the point that conservatives are angry because they just don't know what is best for them. And what is best is Obama...at least in Pelosi's opinion. Overall, her documentary offers very little insight except for the fact that Pelosi thinks socialism is misunderstood by the "unenlightened" yahoos. Nancy Pelosi's daughter, Alexandra, is getting a lot of attention for her documentary about evangelical Christians, which airs tonight in less than an hour on HBO. Allah has video of her appearance last night on Hannity and Colmes here. She joked that evangelicals refer to HBO as "Hell's Box Office"--a sound-bite-friendly gag line that she has repeated numerous times in media interviews. Indeed, a Google search for the phrase "Hell's Box Office" turns up some 200 entries--the vast majority of them from news articles about Pelosi's film.
