  • National Poll: Trump Surges Among Latinos, African-Americans

    09/08/2016 7:42:08 PM PDT · by profit_guy · 28 replies
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has some favorable ratings among both Latinos and African-American voters, according to results of the latest Franklin Pierce University/Boston Herald poll. The poll's demographic breakdown showed that by combining voters who were "very favorable" and "somewhat favorable" to Trump, the billionaire developer got a positive rating from 35 percent of Hispanics and 24 percent of African-Americans. A Breitbart analysis of the poll notes Trump would not win with either group because 49 percent of Hispanics and 69 percent of African-Americans still have a "very unfavorable" view of him. Hispanic support would help Trump in Florida,...

The Republican [nominee] says every child—in Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore—should be able to walk to school safely. For that, he’s called racist.... ...it is Mr. Trump who has decried the loss of black life to violent crime—and has promptly been declared biased for doing so. Whether intentionally or not, Mr. Trump has exposed the hypocrisy of the Black Lives Matter movement and its allies... Why this frenzied effort to demonize Mr. Trump for addressing the heightened violence in inner cities? Because the Republican nominee has also correctly identified its cause: the false “narrative of cops as a racist force in our...

My new book “ANGRY WHITE MALE” comes out today. So it might come as a surprise that the ultimate “Angry White Male” and author of a book about angry white males and “The Trump Phenomenon” would say that black Americans are the key to Trump’s victory.  But they are. I’ve been arguing in the media for well over a year now that Donald Trump will win because of 40 million motivated "angry white males." That’s his base…his foundation…his loyal army. Trump is the face of "the angry white male revolution." He is our energy. He sings our anthem. We’re mad as...

It’s so great to be here tonight. I am honored to also be joined this evening by Governor Scott Walker, Chairman Reince Priebus, and Mayor Rudy Giuliani. We are at a decisive moment in this election. Last week, I laid out my plan to bring jobs back to our country. Yesterday, I laid out my plan to defeat Radical Islamic Terrorism. Tonight, I am going to talk about how to make our communities safe again from crime and lawlessness. Let me begin by thanking the law enforcement officers here in this city, and across this country, for their service and...

One of the unavoidable consequences of youth is the tendency to think behavior we see today has always been. I'd like to dispute that vision, at least as it pertains to black people. I graduated from Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin High School in 1954. Franklin's predominantly black students were from the poorest North Philadelphia neighborhoods. During those days, there were no policemen patrolling the hallways. Today close to 400 police patrol Philadelphia schools. There were occasional after-school fights -- rumbles, as we called them -- but within the school, there was order. In contrast with today, students didn't use foul language...

Once again, BET (Black Entertainment Television) hosted their annual awards ceremony Sunday night, and, once again it turned political. During the show, various speakers, award winners and hosts used their platforms to encourage support for Hillary Clinton and to castigate Donald Trump. It might be useful to ask all of these entertainers what has Hillary Clinton done for the black community? She has supported policies that have led to a doubling of the federal debt, more U.S. involvement in foreign wars, and unleashed the significant threat of Islamic terrorism. None of these positions have done anything positive for African Americans....

Austin private equity firm Clear View Group has purchased two iconic African American lifestyle magazines from Chicago-based Johnson Publishing in a sale that took place in May, according to the Chicago Tribune. Ebony, a periodical that has reflected the lives of African Americans since 1945, was a notable influence and observer during the civil-rights movement of the 1960s. Historical images of subjects such as the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Muhammad Ali and Lena Horne were not part of the sale. Jet magazine has transformed from print to digital only.

Donald Trump is straightforward, direct and brutally honest, a man who weighs up a situation and will give you the facts. Perhaps that is why so many people are afraid. There has been a lot of controversial statements about Trump and his displeasure of immigrants, especially Africans. Not so, Trump has consideration and affection toward other races. In a recent video, Trump said, “look at my African-American over here” and raised decent opinions about the man. Therefore, even though he might appear to have a distinct dislike for Africans, Trump does realize that they too are human. However, I would...

WASHINGTON - A dream for 100 years, the National Museum of African American History and Culture promises to become an instant favorite when it opens Sept. 24, its soaring spaces and magical views of the Mall a fitting setting for its tale of African-American history and achievement. Museum officials offered a sneak peek last week at the 400,000-square-foot museum, the 19th of the Smithsonian Institution, that’s next to the Washington Monument. President Obama is expected to cut the ribbon on the dramatic space, which features layers of galleries focused on slavery, segregation and the civil rights movement as well as...

  • Many Clinton Supporters Have Stockholm Syndrome

Stockholm syndrome is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors. Let’s face it. To a large degree minorities, immigrants, gays and women are captives to liberal policy which provides no legitimate or strategic advantage to any of these groups of people. In fact, it harms them. It’s very troubling to watch black voters support Hillary Clinton, effectively handing her primary victories in states with large ethnic populations. Do these voters not realize that the very jobs and benefits they think she will bring their way...

GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson told Politico on Tuesday that it is “a bit of a stretch” for President Barack Obama to claim he identifies with the experience of black Americans, because “he was raised white.”“He was raised white,” Carson said of Obama. “Many of his formative years were spent in Indonesia. So for him to claim that he identifies with the experience of black Americans I think is a bit of a stretch.”During an interview with Politico’s “Off Message” podcast, Carson said he was “proud that we broke the color barrier” when Obama was elected, but Obama’s experience...

Donald J. Trump, looking to amass as many votes as possible in the South Carolina primary, is increasingly trying to appeal to the state's black voters. In doing so, he appears to hope that any memory of his 2011 demand to see the birth certificate of the nation's first black president is a distant one... "We have an African-American president and he has not done anything for the African-Americans in this country, and he got a free pass and he shouldn't have," Mr. Trump said... It seems not a week goes by without hearing about the death of an African-American at the hands of law enforcement. Tamir Rice, Eric Harris, Walter Scott, Jonathan Ferrell, Sandra Bland, Samuel DuBose, Freddie Gray -- the names would be a blur except they represent real people whose lives have ended needlessly. As a 51-year-old African-American male who was born and raised in Houston Gardens, I’ve seen more than my share of violence in our communities. Actually, I’ve seen more than my share because I’m a bail bond agent and run the family business founded by my father 27 years...

ABC’s “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg has joined fellow “View” co-host Raven-Symoné in rejecting the extremely racist term “African-American”. “You know what uh uh! This is my country,” Goldberg said. “My mother, my grandmother, my great-grand folks, we busted ass to be here. I’m sorry. I’m an American. I’m not an African-American, I’m not a chick American, I’m an American!”

The Hollywood liberals who give Academy Awards to their friends got called out for their lack of diversity this week. It seems this year the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences couldn't find a single actor of color worthy of an Oscar nomination for a lead or supporting role. Its 6,000-odd members went 0 for 20 in their search. For the second straight year. Have Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx, Will Smith, Morgan Freeman, Don Cheadle, Laurence Fishburne, Cuba Gooding Jr., Djimon Hounsou, Forest Whitaker, Octavia Spencer, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, Halle Berry and Queen Latifah taken...
