American Family Radio (AFR), a broadcast division of American Family Association (AFA), announced on Wednesday (Jan. 24) that it is dropping well-known pastor Alistair Begg‘s daily radio program, “Truth for Life,” following Begg’s controversial remarks about Christians attending LGBTQ+ weddings. In a September 2023 interview for his book “The Christian Manifesto,” Begg shared that he encouraged a grandmother to attend her grandson’s transgender wedding. Begg said that he knew people wouldn’t like his answer, but that didn’t stop him. After confirming that the woman’s grandson understood that she doesn’t affirm his choice to marry a trans person, Begg said, “Well...

Last week, The Dissenter reported that Alistair Begg, a prominent pastor associated with The Gospel Coalition, urged Christians to not only attend homosexual weddings, but to also buy them a gift—a position that starkly contradicts the biblical view of marriage as a sacred union exclusively between a man and a woman. This alarming advice from Begg, a respected figure in evangelical circles including the late R.C. Sproul’s Ligonier ministry, represents a growing trend of Evangelical leaders to abandon sound Christian doctrine in favor of man-pleasing cultural orthodoxy. It is a glaring example of the moral compromise seeping into the church...

What a difference a year made for Joseph Alcoff. On Monday, the 37-year-old has a court date in connection with charges he’s facing in Philadelphia that include aggravated assault and ethnic intimidation for allegedly being part of an Antifa mob in November that attacked two Marines, Alejandro Godinez and Luis Torres, both Hispanic. Alcoff and two others charged in the attack have pleaded not guilty. ANTIFA FIGURE CHARGED IN MARINE ATTACK But while Democratic officials are distancing themselves from Alcoff now, until recently he was a well-connected, aspiring political player in Washington who may have even had a hand in...

An Ohio woman who lived much of her life as an animal lover may have died a dog killer. Sandra Lertzman, 62, was found dead along with 31 of her dogs, many of them puppies, in a running car in the garage of her Moreland Hills home on Monday. Investigators told WOIO that they found a suicide note in the house and several prescription vials in the vehicle. It wasn’t clear how she and the pups died. One of the dogs managed to survive by finding a small opening in the garage where it could breathe, authorities said. Lertzman was...

The recent political documentary craze has at last zeroed in on one of the conservative movement's brightest and most engaging stars, Ann Coulter. With the release of the Ann Coulter documentary on DVD this week, Ann's legions of fans will finally get a behind-the-scenes look at the conservatism's "diva." Ann's childhood, career, and controversies are all covered in this relatively flattering tribute. This new documentary was directed by...

I was extremely lucky to be part of history this past weekend, when America’s first conservative film festival took place in Dallas, Texas. The American Renaissance Film Festival was scheduled for the third anniversary weekend of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and it was a fitting tribute. I was there to accompany my mother, Mara Wallis, whose documentary, Entertaining Vietnam, screened at the festival. In fact, Vietnam loomed large at the festival, thanks in large part to John Kerry who foolishly built his whole presidential campaign on a house of cards. In a weird way, we can thank Kerry for finally...

Michael Moore (search) was a no-show at the first-ever conservative film festival held outside Dallas last weekend. The liberal moviemaker's absence is not a surprise since the film that earned a two-minute standing ovation was the world premiere of a documentary titled, "Michael Moore Hates America." There were 24 conservative-minded films screened at the three-day American Film Renaissance Festival (search) in the Dallas suburb of Addison, Texas. Movies included "George W. Bush: Faith in the White House," "DC 9/11: Time of Crisis" and "The Peace Commies," which addresses "subversive radicals behind the peace movement." "We make no bones about the...

DALLAS—The opening night of the American Film Renaissance, the nation's "first and only" conservative film festival, featured an African-American pianist sitting in a ballroom of Dallas' InterContinental Hotel and playing "As Time Goes By." On Saturday and Sunday, aspiring right-wing auteurs suggested that if we could just get back to the values of Casablanca—you know, Nazism, adultery, casino gaming—the studios would make movies worth watching again. "We're seeing the rise of conservative film," said Alan Lipton, the co-director of a short called Operation Eagle Strike.

The long awaited "American Film Renaissance" Film Festival is nearly over and it looks like the media has yet to publish a single review of any of the films. If you have seen any of the films or have read a review of them, please post it here. Conservatives around the nation would love to hear the reviews.

Sept 10 - 12, Dallas (Addison), TX. The First Annual AFR is proud to present the following extraordinary films (list subject to change; for schedule of events, please click here): Against Nature By WAG TV An undeniably shocking production from our friends in Great Britain, Against Nature is arguably the most provocative documentary you'll ever watch about environmentalism. What American television would never want you to see, Against Nature proves that the world's most influential environmentalists are more interested in promoting their own agenda than rescuing third-world citizens from poverty. And you won't believe who Against Nature shows us was...

Fed up with what they say is the radical left's domination of Hollywood, a group of conservative filmmakers will debut their newest films in a festival this weekend in Dallas. The film festival, scheduled Sept. 10-12, is the brainchild of Jim Hubbard, a law school graduate who felt conservatives have sat on the sidelines too long while liberals dominate moviemaking. He and others tired of filmmakers like Michael Moore, whose "Fahrenheit 9/11" bashed President Bush for how his administration dealt with the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Larry Elder, a Los Angeles based radio talk show host, has fired another salvo into the credibility of Leftwing propagandist, blowhard, and "disingenuous filmmaker" Michael Moore. Elder is scheduled to release a new documentary entitled "Michael & Me" which counters Moore's deceiptful documentary "Bowling for Columbine. Elder ambushes Moore and asks him tough questions about gun control. Moore is visibly frustrated during the encounter. "Michael and Me" and "Michael Moore Hates America" will both premiere in Dallas as filmmakers take aim at the Bush-bashing director whose "Fahrenheit 9/11" paint the president as a liar and a dolt. WND columnist Larry Elder offers his "Michael and Me" to rebut Moore's anti-gun film "Bowling for Columbine." Elder's film will...
