Big Abortion has long prepared for the day with less abortion providers, more healthcare regulation, fewer abortion facilities, and increased state restrictions. The abortion lobby has swapped abortion chemicals for abortion surgeries of the past. Many throughout the world have worked to create ways to get deadly chemicals into the hands of women – including women with advanced gestations – quickly and without medical oversight. Abortion is now readily available to any woman no matter where she resides in the world or what her local law dictates. Who is having late chemical abortions? Women choosing chemicals to end their pregnancies...

Warren Buffett is a philanthropist whose billions have been funneled to pro-abortion organizations for decades, including many behind the expansion of the abortion pill. While some of this is well-known among pro-lifers, what is less known is that Buffett was also instrumental in creating a “church” as a front for referring women for illegal abortions prior to Roe v. Wade — a “church” that eventually merged into Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. Warren Buffett’s abortion pill philanthropy Warren Buffett’s Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation was among the original investors in Danco Laboratories, the U.S. abortion pill manufacturer. In addition, the Washington Post...

Dr. Mary Gatter, President of Planned Parenthood’s Medical Directors’ Council, was seen in a second video released yesterday by the Center for Medical Progress, haggling over fetal organ procurement compensation. While the haggling was by far the most damning part of the conversation, Dr. Gatter also mentioned off-hand her involvement with political action and research on various issues in the abortion industry – one of them being, in her words, an ultrasound study yielding “nuanced” results. Despite the fact that multiple studies prior to this one have found that close to 80 percent of women change their minds and choose...

Last month, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) released a Committee Opinion entitled “Increasing Access to Abortion.” In the opinion, ACOG unequivocally condemns pro-life legislation, contending that pro-life laws are bad for women (emphasis added): Legislative restrictions fundamentally interfere with the patient-provider relationship and decrease access to abortion for all women… The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists calls for advocacy to oppose and overturn restrictions, improve access, and mainstream abortion as an integral component of women’s health care. However, as an “integral component of women’s health care,” we have seen abortion do nothing to improve women’s health....

NOTE The following text is a quote: FORMER MEMBER OF U.S. NAVY SENTENCED TO TWO YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR STEALING AND SELLING EQUIPMENT David B. Fein, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that WILFRED J. BOUTON, 31, of Bremerton, Washington, was sentenced today by Chief United States District Judge Alvin W. Thompson in Hartford to 24 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for stealing and selling sensitive military equipment. Judge Thompson also ordered BOUTON to pay restitution in the amount of $62,311.42. According to court documents and statements made in court, BOUTON...

Fourteen years ago, to protect President Clinton's position on partial-birth abortions, Elena Kagan doctored a statement by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Conservatives think this should disqualify her from the Supreme Court. They understate the scandal. It isn't Kagan we should worry about. It's the whole judiciary. Kagan, who was then an associate White House counsel, was doing her job: advancing the president's interests. The real culprit was ACOG, which adopted Kagan's spin without acknowledgment. But the larger problem is the credence subsequently given to ACOG's statement by courts, including the Supreme Court. Judges have put too much...

Elena Kagan has now admitted to the Senate Judiciary Committee that as a Clinton lawyer in 1997, she fraudulently revised an official medical opinion by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The medical society was going to publicly reveal that "its panel of experts found no circumstances in which the (partial birth abortion) procedure was the only option for saving the life of the woman." In a secret internal memo, she wrote that "This, of course, would be a disaster[.]" Kagan therefore secretly revised the language so the final statement in 1997 claimed that the partial-birth abortion "may be...

I was unable to watch Kagan’s explanation of her role in the ACOG policy statement live, but I understand from Ed Whelan’s excellent coverage that she essentially brushed off the issue (as I predicted here she would), explaining that she was merely helping ACOG state more clearly what the evidence before it already showed.  As I explained, however, there are reasons to doubt that. First, the ACOG task force — formed specifically and solely for the purpose of studying the medical efficacy of the procedure — met for two full days in October 1996, and the result of their collective...

Okay, this wasn't a bench-by-bench comparison. But I did shoot one rifle last week at my range, and the other rifle today at a guest range. Both ranges are in Florida, if you care, on opposite coasts. Both rifles were comparable M-4gerys. Top end or close to to top end. (Not junk.) Similar stocks, barrels, etc. I'm not going to mention the makes, because it's not the point of my essay tonight. Trust me, both are fine, fine rifles that are capable of greater accuracy than I ever will lend to them. Okay. Rifle #1 sports a 1 power EOTech...

UPDATE: THE Federal Government has ordered the defence department to look at ways of removing biblical references on gunsights used by special forces troops in Afghanistan. The American maker of the Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight, a Michigan based company called Trijicon, stamps Biblical references next to the serial number of all of its military gunsights. The references include "2COR4:6,'' a reference to Second Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament. The passage in part reads: "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory...

WASHINGTON, DC, March 17, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt today expressed disappointment in a new policy put forth by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists ( ACOG ) which mandates that doctors refer for abortions. He also called on the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology ( ABOG ) to reject this policy and protect the conscience rights of physicians. In a letter sent to ABOG Executive Director Dr. Norman Grant today asking for clarification, Secretary Leavitt notes, "It appears that the interaction of the [ABOG Bulletin for 2008 Maintenance of Certification] with the...
