I thought it might be interesting to have a thread for Freepers to post their early voting experiences, as well as any turnout reports from their location.

Pence ran to the podium in Ohio from his plane on the tarmac and delivered an energetic stump speech. "Don't be fooled. This race is on," Pence said, his voice rising. "We're leading two national polls. We're leading in Ohio and we're going to fight all the way to the White House."

Kaine answered that he’s the best evidence that Hillary doesn’t share those prejudices: “Hillary Clinton’s feeling about faith and about Catholicism in particular is most demonstrated by the fact that she asked me to be a running mate,” Kaine said. “That is the most direct evidence about what Hillary thinks about Catholics.”

Nevertheless, in an email to GOP insiders Sunday, Borges announced he would be supporting the party's presidential nominee in the upcoming election, citing his overwhelming concern about a Hillary Clinton presidency. "I will be supporting a straight Republican ticket – starting with Donald Trump for president," he wrote, in an email obtained by the Cincinnati Enquirer. "A Hillary Clinton presidency would be a disaster for our country." "The prospect of her winning is just unacceptable to me," he later added in a statement. Borges said much of his decision to support Trump stemmed from previous conversations he has had with...

Donald Trump promised to sue every single woman who accused him of sexual misconduct after the election is over, and blamed the media for using the allegations to attack his campaign. "Every woman lied when they came forward to hurt my campaign, total fabrication. The events never happened, never," he said during a rally in Gettysburg, Pa., on Saturday.
  • Early Colorado Vote

I've left the GOP and registered again as Independent voter. I voted Trump at the top of the ballot and voted Libertarian down the ballot in protest at the Republican Party's sabotage of our nominee and collusion to elect Hillary. Voted NO on major propositions, tax increases and to kick out all incumbent judges. Was a great feeling and a good early vote here this afternoon for me in my rural Colorado county.

The sign is clearly poking fun at Donald Trump, but unless people driving on Interstate 94 in metro Detroit speak Arabic — or have a buddy who can translate — they’ll be scratching their heads. . . . “I chuckled,” Dawud Walid, executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, told the Detroit News. “I laughed. Duh. This is how people feel in the community. It’s mocking Trump. It’s funny yet very appropriate considering the nonsense Donald Trump has continued to say about Muslims.”

“Is Hillary off the campaign trail because her physicians have put her on a drug holiday?” Noel asks, noting she also stopped campaigning for a prolonged period before the second debate. “A ‘drug holiday’ is often prescribed for Parkinson’s disease patients,” Noel explained to WND. “The problem is that Parkinson’s patients need increased doses of their medication as the disease progresses.” A drug holiday, he said, would “allow her physicians to get her drug-free for a while, so she can be on lower doses when the drugs are restarted.” “She needs to be able to come on stage appearing to...

  • In Southwest Pa., the Democratic nominee is the Tea Party Republican

    The Washington Examiner ^ | October 17, 2016 | Timothy P. Carney
Art Halvorson may be the most interesting Democratic nominee for Congress this election—in part because he's really a Tea Party Republican. Halvorson in 2014 ran against pork-barreling Transportation Committee chairman and political legacy Bill Shuster. Shuster is most famous for his relationship with an airline lobbyist, an obvious conflict of interest for a Transpo chairman. Halvorson ran again this year, and lost the GOP primary to Shuster by only 1,200 votes—about 1 percent of the electorate. That same day, however, 1,069 Democratic voters wrote in his name on the Democratic primary ballot. No Democrat had filed to run, and Halvorson...

"I am so tired of hearing the other side tell me how America is going to hell in a handbasket." . . . "I'm a white Southerner, I remember what it was like when somebody said they were going to make America great again," Clinton said last week at a campaign stop in Indianola, Iowa. "They're basically said, 'Here's your tobacco, here's your shotgun, you're in charge.'" . . . "First of all, I turned 70 this year, so 'Make America Great Again' is like me saying I'd like to be 20 again. Actually, I would," he said to laughs.

Trump’s running mate observed on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” Sunday that while Trump apologized for his 11-year-old remarks, but former President “Bill Clinton didn’t just talk about doing things, he did them.” . . . “People are getting awful tired of this two-on-one fight with many of you in the national media doing half of Hillary Clinton’s work for her every day,” Pence said.

Vice President Joe Biden believes Hillary Clinton will most likely face public sexism if she becomes the first female president, claiming on Sunday that she has already been "battered and beaten" by members of the press. "She has been so battered and beaten," Biden, who endorsed the Democratic presidential nominee months after deciding not to launch his own White House bid, told "Meet the Press" moderator Chuck Todd in a new interview. "We all make mistakes. She's made mistakes, too."
  • Evan McMullin: There's nothing wrong with GOP except racism

Evan McMullin's improbable third-party presidential campaign received a boost Wednesday with the release of a new poll of McMullin's home state, Utah, showing him just four points behind Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. It was amazing enough that pollsters from the Salt Lake City-based firm Y2 Analytics found the Republican and Democratic candidates tied at 26 percent in one of the nation's reddest states. But it was downright astonishing that an unknown like McMullin could be hot on their heels with 22 percent. . . . McMullin believes the Republican Party is rife with racism. "That's the problem," he said...
  • Congressional Black Caucus head: Trump's shackles tweet was 'reckless'

A tweet posted by Donald Trump on Tuesday, in which the Republican presidential nominee said he had been removed from "shackles," was met with criticism by the head of the Congressional Black Caucus. "The moment an African-American hears the word 'shackles,' it's reminiscent of the era of slavery," Democratic Congressman G.K. Butterfield said in an interview with The Hill. "We're at a point now where Donald Trump is out of control. We don't know what's next."

A CNN anchor was left visibly shocked Tuesday after Ben Carson suggested that part of the problem with the scandal surrounding lewd comments Donald Trump made in 2005 is that journalists aren't more familiar with that kind of language. ... "So you've heard people talking like this?" Keilar asked. "I've heard people talking like that — of course. Are you kidding me?" Carson said. Keilar persisted, "Where are you hanging out and with whom are you hanging out that you hear people talking like that?"

Emails published Tuesday by WikiLeaks suggest the Justice Department communicated with Hillary Clinton's campaign as the administration scrambled to deal with the fallout from her use of a private server. Brian Fallon, Clinton's campaign spokesman and a Justice Department alum, wrote in May 2015 that "DOJ folks" had tipped him off to an upcoming status hearing in a high-profile lawsuit that threatened to expose Clinton's 30,000 work-related emails to the public.

Prior to the debate, Trump highlighted three women who had accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault or harrassment. “The View” host Sunny Hostin suggested that Hillary Clinton may have missed an opportunity to address the controversy during the second presidential debate. ... Behar suggested the Democratic nominee could say: “’I would like to apologize to those tramps that have slept with my husband.’ Maybe she could have said that.” The remark didn’t go unnoticed.

An irritated Chuck Todd on Monday chided Donald Trump for highlighting women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual abuse. Talking about Sunday’s debate in which the businessman did a press conference with Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey, among others, the NBC journalist complained, “Only in the, sort of, the mind of some sort of movie writer of a third world democracy or dictatorship would you have a candidate publicly humiliate a former occupant of that office by parading all of these other people around.”
