Yesterday, on Sunday, September 19, 2010, the Obama family attended church for only the third time in a year. They went on foot to the St. John’s Episcopal Church situated across the Lafayette Park. But what is widely not reported by the White House and the MSM is that on that particular Sunday in that particular church, Dr. Ziad Asali, M.D., a Muslim, founder and president of the American Task Force on Palestine, was the guest speaker. He was there to speak on the subject of “Prospects of the two-state solution in the Middle-East.” According to the website of the...

Barack Obama is a reformed doper, so of course he's against legalizing marijuana. Another disappointment for the legions of politically progressive fans who'd taken to Obamania as though it was its own opiate. Who is this guy, anyway? He's said he smoked dope and snorted coke in his youth. So where's the empathy, man? But forget about its effect on his policies. His druggie past is not helping him shape the overarching grit of his public character nearly as much as it could be. Weed and cocaine? Who's going to be impressed with that, when his hugely successful contemporaries like...

The Muslim cleric behind plans to build a mosque close to the Ground Zero site has blamed politicians such as Sarah Palin for fuelling a "growing Islamophobia" that led to the burning of Korans on the ninth anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The Reverend Terry Jones abandoned his "international burn a Koran day" in Gainesville, Florida on Saturday but there were isolated instances in Tennessee and New York of the Muslim holy book being set alight. "What has happened is that..certain politicians decided that this project would be very useful for their political ambitions," Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf said,...

President Obama acknowledged Friday that bouncing back from the recession has been "painfully slow," but he insisted that the economy continues to grow as he pushed his administration's new economic proposals at his first news conference in months. Obama once again urged the Senate to pass his small-business jobs bill, saying it has been blocked by "a partisan (Republican) minority." He praised Sen. George Voinovich, R-Ohio, for announcing that he would not help GOP leaders block the bill. Still, he said, there is "room for discussion" on competing tax plans. "If the Republican leadership is prepared to get serious ......

Qur'an and Swords The Muslim Brotherhood (Arabic: Hizb al Ikhwan al Muslimeen - The party of the Muslim Brothers or Jamaat al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun - Society of the Muslim brotherhood ) is a fundamentalist international organization or organizations originating in Egypt, whose goals are the conversion of Muslim countries into states ruled by Sha'aria law, the re-establishment of the Caliphate and ultimately, world dominion. The Muslim Brotherhood's ideology, which insists that Islam is a prescription for governance as well as religion, is the prototypical example of Islamism. Their slogan is self-explanatory: "God is our purpose, the Prophet our leader, the Qur'an...

Forty-seven years after Martin Luther King, Jr., gave his famous "I Have a Dream" speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, a different type of rally will be convening there. And it is already causing national uproar. The controversial Fox News host's comments against some churches provokes anger.Conservative commentator Glenn Beck's plans to host a "Restoring Honor" rally on Aug. 28 to "celebrate America" has brought objections from some civil rights leaders, who say picking the anniversary of King's speech is a deliberate way to distort King's message. Rev. Al Sharpton, president of the National Action Network -- which...

Washington (CNN) - President Obama used his weekly internet and radio address to once again call for passage of legislation regarding political advertising. "[W]e cannot allow the corporate takeover of our democracy," Obama says in the address. "So we’re going to continue to fight for reform and transparency. And I urge all of you to take up the same fight. Let’s challenge every elected official who benefits from these ads to defend this practice or join us in stopping it."

ST. LOUIS, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- U.S. Vice President Joe Biden denounced Republican candidates Friday for offering "draconian ideas basically on steroids." Biden credited Republicans of the 1860s and 1950s with investing in infrastructure and technology to advance the nation's interests. That's no longer the case, he told a meeting of the Democratic National Committee in St. Louis. "This ain't your father's Republican Party," Biden said. "This is the 'Republican Tea Party.' And as they [voters] focus on that alternative, what they're going to find out is, the choices are pretty stark." The Hill reported the vice president singled out...

I am disgusted and appalled at the lack of respect for the new and glorious mosque that our peaceful friends, the Muslims of the world, are building in New York for us. Repeatedly I keep hearing it referred to as the "Ground Zero Mosque". This is an abomination under their holy, many-headed god "Allah". The number zero, in the Muslim world, is considered the lowest of all possible numbers, and therefore when Fox News and other right wing so-called "news" people refer to it as "ground zero", what they are doing is saying that a Muslim mosque is worth absolutely...
