Americans are fighting two different wars.

Americans are fighting two different wars.

Everyone is aware of our war against terrorism. It’s on your TV right now. But let’s not forget the war we have been in for the last 35 years.

A war against this country by the socialists began in earnest in the mid 60s. The leaders against this country were mostly native-born US Citizens. (Not to be confused with Americans who love and respect this country and its Constitution. These socialists just happened to be born here)

The socialists were winning the war incrementally. Slowly sapping the country of its unique American heritage, and making us more dependent on the Government. The methods were to attack our sovereignty, open up our borders, take groups such as blacks, and women and turn them against white males. If there wasn’t enough poverty in the country they imported it through immigration. Avoiding of course bringing in the best and the brightest from Europe, who might have an appreciation of our constitution. Sure some of the low class immigrants work, and become Americans, but that wasn’t the plan. The plan is vote for us democrats we will get you some one else’s money, and pay your medical bills via the government. Socialism is good.

Multi culturalism is another weapon, which somehow expects you to respect cultures some of which never built a two story building, and some that savage the women in their ranks. All that at the expense of our own still forming culture here in America. The dumbing down of the school kids and the disdain of the American flag, or ridicule of any display of unabashed Americanism were other tactics used to weaken this country by the elitists. Racial profiling, affirmative action, feminism, the homosexual agenda in our schools, the attacks on the second amendment, you know the drill. Poison!

The Socialists were winning the war. No doubt about it. But a couple of things happened that started to turn the tide against them. The Internet allowed conservatives to get together and become more of a political force. The Internet allowed people to get the news before it got slanted, or conveniently omitted in the lamestream press. Fox news, which has a conservative tilt came into being the last few years. And those radio talk show hosts which are mostly conservative just kept growing in numbers.

But nothing compares to the disaster the anti American socialists suffered on Sept. 11 th.

When those two planes crashed into the twin towers and set them on fire, finally collapsing them, and killing thousands of Americans, it was a direct hit on the socialist agenda.

Within a few days of Sept 11th, after the shock settled in, all the socialist accomplishments of the last 35 years took a direct hit.

Close the borders! Protect our sovereignty! Racial profile those terrorists! Arm the pilots! Who the hell are we letting into this country? Deport Illegal aliens! I’m going out and exercise my second amendment right and buy a gun!

People started putting up American flags, and singing patriotic songs. Political correctness went out the window. Traitors are called just that, not dissidents or just Americans exercising their first amendment rights to help commit national suicide.

Sure the Tony Blairs, Daschles, Kennedys and similar ilk are onboard to kill the terrorists and the sooner the better. That way they can get back to undermining this country through socialism, and repair the damage done to their agenda by this intrusion of Muslim terrorists.

When the Russians were fighting the Afghans a reporter asked a Mujhadeen “What are you going to do when the Russians are driven out?” He answered, “Go back to fighting among ourselves.” - Tom

We will need bullets and bombs for the terrorists.

We can win the other war with political skill and defeat the native born socialist enemy at the polls.

Stay focused.-Tom

So true. Most of the congresscritters who have suddenly become Sunshine Patriots are the same clymers who allowed this atrocity to happen.

So-called conservatives are just as much to blame. The nanny state as represented by the war on drugs has taken away more of our liberties than anything the liberals have done, and has turned the hearts of our people away from our institutions, our police and our courts. It has corrupted our law enforcement system, our political system, and our banking system, and has turned a generation into felons. And it goes on and on even though the last two presidents and the Governor of Florida all have partaken of some illegal substance. There's a lot of blame to go around for the current political given that one has the right to control whatever his neighbor does that is offensive.

You are living in the past.

you apparently need to go buy a book on islam, and have a big group hug with the current tense.

You, Sir, have described exactly the cultural and societal rot many of us witnessed over the last 40 years. Many a time I have railed at leftist friends that "this used to be a good country", the implication being that none of this happened under the watch of Conservatives. Well put.

You've got to be kidding me! Did you come to this vision through your bong, or around it?

short of colon powell getting too involved in our progress on the foreign front, we will
likely prevail there

as for the home front, the socialists are still pushing their anti-liberty agenda,
and i don't share your enthusiasm that they have been put to pasture.
but i do appreciate your optimism, and a little more prayer couldn't but help all of us.
well put. thanks. stay safe.

"...but i do appreciate your optimism,"

Optimism born of naiveté. Commie/Socialist roots run deeper in this country than the past 30-40 years (see: FDR). Joe Mac warned us about the infiltration in the early '50s, and that was when it had festered for about 10-20 years. Look at the Venona papers...our opponents consist of far more than some crazed anti-American ragheads in the mid-east, and an entrenched group of idealistic academes. Unbeknownst to far too many, there is a much wider range of true America haters already within our gates, that view our nation's destruction as the desired end-state.

I hope you don't think I am naive about this. The very reason for my posting my thoughts was so that we would not forget the enemy within. We are focused on the Afghanistan situation and we also should be aware of what is going on at home here.

We have to beat them at the polls, they are not going away. They were born and raised here and hate this country and its constitution.

I am hardly naive about them, but I do honestly believe they got a setback on Sept. 11th. -Tom

Great stuff Capt. The Shakespearian quote from another contributor says a lot too. "What is past, is prologue" . Oh yeah, Codeword old buddy, just got in- if I read it right. I predict that if American and British blood flows and it might, somebody will, as you Americans put it "kick a**" on the home front. Just watch the cowardly peaceniks run if it happens. Cheers

I’m not implying you are naive...I think your remarks are rather spot on. I'm taking a shot at the Libertarian/ deep end conservatives who profess that:

1. Our military is strictly for protection of our territorial sovereignty, and that we should avoid foreign entanglements (misquoting the very first George W.),

yet,

rage against abuses of Posse Commitatus when U.S. military assets are used to protect our borders.

2. Remind us all that both enlisted and officer oaths bind one to oppose enemies "foreign and domestic(emphasis added),

yet,

insist the U.S. military has no law enforcement role within our borders.

Such schizophrenic pronouncements demonstrate a degree of uncertainty that has no place in a nation at war.

3. Rage against the abuses and excesses of domestic law enforcement,

yet,

contend that law enforcement has been ineffective and not done anywhere near enough to prevent the events of the last month or so.

Rage against the fact that

Thank you sir! I've noticed the same tendencies you mention among my liberal associates. I of course had to mention that many of the Conservative ideals they previously mocked: prayer, patriotism, immigration control, the right to own a gun, etc.. are now gaining respect again. This is not to say I believe our fight is over....but we took at least the first hill!

Unfortunately, I think the setback they suffered is only temporary. They have succeeded in implementing their vision of the New American Police State outlined in a report, dated Januray 31, 2001 which has been in the works since the early 90's. The commission itself was convened in '98.

Cans you spell H-O-M-E-L-A-N-D S-E-C-U-R-I-T-Y?

Yes, the socialists suffered a philosophical setback as a result of September 11, but they are making up for it with a vengeance. Now, we're getting reports of "right-wing hate groups" being the cause of the Anthrax. They're very flexible and adaptable at maximizing any opportunity, including an apparent defeat. Don't let your guard down!

And don't forget about the people who are teaching our nation's children.

"Every child in America entering school at the age of five is insane because he comes to school with certain allegiances toward our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. It's up to you as teachers to make all of these sick children well, by creating the international children of the future."

Dr. C.M. Pierce of Harvard University in a speech to teachers (1973)

The educational extablishment will make sure there'll no lasting effects of patriotism or individualistic thinking.

Do you really regard left-wing Americans with the same enmity as you regard Osama Bin Laden?
