That is an ignorant comment. Communist countries were bastions of smoker's rights. Stalin himself smoked like a fiend. Wanting clean air has nothing to do with politics.

If you smoke, you are in the ranks of violent bikers, convicts, and European sex tourists. You are also murderers. Smoking bans are not solely supported by liberal democrats and communists. Lenin and Stalin smoked like fiends, as do most Russians. Smoking bans are supported by the majority of many local populations, republican and democrat.
People in California and other states want clean air for their children. They also want to get rid of rif-raf smokers. (it's an uphill battle) If you smokers find California a drag, there is always Nevada. Nevada's smoking ban is a joke, and rarely enforced. You can smoke your lungs out, gamble away all your money, rent hookers, and there are free drinks. Have a good time.

If you're a smoker, you're giving innocent adults and children cancer becuase of your filthy second hand smoke. You're basically a murderer. Don't compare yourself with innocent victims of the nazis. You have nothing in common with them. We ARE going to stop you, you are right about that. However, your life will actually be saved. You won't die in a death camp. You may even join us. I was once a smoker also.
