    “There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, in the end, "Thy will be done." All that are in Hell, choose it. Without that self-choice there could be no Hell. No soul that seriously and constantly desires joy will ever miss it. Those who seek find. Those who knock it is opened.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Great Divorce

    Funny but I didn't think about the ketchup at all, probably because I put ketchup on most of my steaks.

    Also, “C-Note”, I realized after I read you post that this is probably not current usage, the younger people call them “Benjamins”. It originated sometime after World War One as slang, based either on C as short for ‘Century’ or as short for Latin for a hundred, ‘centum’. I suspect given the educational level of most yeggs, thugs, hoodlums and goons of the twenties it was the former rather than the latter.

    I recall reading years ago about Sinatra, telling one of his entourage to “Duke him a C note” or “Duke him a hundred” when he wanted someone tipped.

    Finally, as long as we're talking about C-notes, remember the “Kansas City Bankroll” or “KC Roll” - a wad of singles with one or two C-notes on the outside, rubber banded and flashed to make people think you had a lot more money than you did.

    There are a host of bills introduced. Included, as I recall, are those that tighten the definition of ‘resident’ for voting purposes, clarify and tighten the definition of ‘domicile’, and so on.

    What I recall from various newspaper reports up here, if passed as proposed, then someone would have to be ‘domiciled’ here for 13 days prior to voting, with one key set of domicilation determinants being that you had a NH DL and your vehicle was registered in NH. Also, instead of being able to say that at some vague point in the future you intended to make NH your domicile being sufficient to establish same you had to prove it before you voted.

    Please allow me to add clarifying information. I believe you are referring only to a Non-Resident application from a state that does not issue carry permits. I have checked the Resident application and cannot find this requirement.

    For the Non-Resident application the section you refer to appears to be:

    “A non-resident pistol license will not be issued unless you supply:

    1) A copy (front & back) of your valid concealed carry license issued by the state, county, or town in which
    you reside.

    OR IF YOU RESIDE IN A STATE THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE A LICENSE TO CARRY CONCEALED: (Pursuant to Saf-C 2102.03)

    2) A letter from your local police department signed by an authorized representative indicating the following:
    a) The state does not require a license to carry concealed for residents; b) To the best of the local police department’s knowledge, the applicant:
    i. Is not a drug user of controlled drugs or narcotics without orders from a physician;
    ii. Has not been treated for mental illness, emotional problems, or confined to a mental health facility;
    iii. Has no domestic violence petitions that would prevent possession of weapons under federal law; and iv. Has not been arrested or convicted of a misdemeanor domestic violence.”

    Clicking on the section referred to (Saf-C 2102.03) and doing a Google search leads you to a letter from the Office of State Legislative Services dated July 18, 2013: https://www.nh.gov/safety/divisions/nhsp/ssb/permitslicensing/documents/Saf-C2100.pdf. I can’t figure out when this change was instituted but appears to change the requirement from Vermont to any state that doesn’t issue a carry permit.

    So all I can find is a requirement that your local police chief write such a letter for a Non-Resident applicant from a state that does not issue a carry permit. There is no mention of the Colonel of the NH State Police, nor is there any requirement that I can see for a New Hampshire resident to obtain such a letter from their local police chief.

    Thank you for the clarifications. I do not have expert knowledge of Colorado politics. If anyone else has further information or clarification please weigh in.

    I posted this as a warning to other states that are vulnerable and targeted for the same treatment.

    For Colorado, the latest Quinnipiac poll had Beauprez ahead by ten per cent among a good sample size of Likely Voters. I appreciate that from now to election day is an eternity in politics but this is surely a hopeful sign.

    A fascinating article and a warning for other states with influxes of liberals. There is mention of a book "The Blueprint: How Democrats Won Colorado". The author of the article states that he believes Utah may be next, as well as Wyoming, Montana and Idaho.
