This Michigan law is an excercise of general police power, so there really is t much of a federal question. I realize that commerce power generally and wrongly supports a federal police state, but that is a different argument.
I am not disagreeing with you that inflamation is by far an underapreciated, denied or outright mendatiously misrepresented cause of disease. The finding here is narrow but significant. My brother is schizophrenic and an asthmatic, which caught my eye here.
The incidence of reported spectrum disorders and schizophrenia has nothing to do with the topic of this article or the underlying publication. The news here is indicia that inflammation during critical developmental periods may be an efficient cause, which is contrary to established thought that “genetics” plays nearly a determinative role.
