A 52-year-old woman has been mauled to death by a pack of seven flea-infested dachshunds. Mother-of-two Tracy Garcia was brutally attacked by the savage dogs - which belonged to her neighbor - near her home outside Ardmore in Oklahoma. Cops said they shot and killed one of the beasts on Thursday night when it charged at them. They captured the others, which were put down at the request of the owner. Six of the dogs are believed to have been mixed with a terrier, but one - the biggest and oldest - is thought to be part-border collie.

For centuries, the northern French town of Lille has been home to an autumn flea market — as famous for its party atmosphere as for its wealth of secondhand goods. Last year, more than 2 million people came to the weekend festival to gulp down oysters, drink all night and haggle over goods. But La Braderie de Lille has been called off this year. After recent terrorist attacks in France, authorities say it is impossible to ensure security, NPR's Eleanor Beardsley reports.

Back in January, I asked: “Why the Sudden Love Among Establishment Republicans for Donald Trump?” “It has," I wrote, “been quite an experience -- half amusing, half alarming -- to behold the sudden transformation of Donald Trump from pariah to desperate hope of the Republican Party.”In the weeks that have followed, more and more GOP-friendly pundits, functionaries, factota, courtiers, lackeys, lobbyists, consultants, and eminences grises have boarded the Trump Express. They explain, if pressed, that: a) Trump is inevitable and one has to get with the program; and/or b) the only alternative is Hillary Clinton, and you wouldn’t want that,...

Law enforcement officials in Connecticut were called into a flea market over the weekend after someone called in to report a person selling Confederate and Nazi memorabilia. Despite the controversy surrounding the nature of the objects, nobody was arrested since no laws were technically broken, WTNH reported (video below). The items were being sold on private property, according to the chief of police. William Moore is the co-owner of Military Specialties Inc. in Newington, Connecticut, which sells authentic objects from Nazi-era Germany, Civil War-era United States, and reproductions. He told WTNH that such items can often be found in Connecticut.

A shopper perusing the merchandise at the Redwood Country Flea Market was so offended by a vendor selling Confederate and Nazi historical memorabilia, the person actually called 911. Wallingford, Connecticut police were dispatched to the flea market to investigate. The police chief William Wright tells News 8 “the reason no one was arrested was because the items were being sold on private property” — not to mention no laws were broken. “There was a table set up with this material,” Wright says, according to Journal-Record. “It’s not criminally illegal, but obviously it offended this person. It causes some people a...

Over the weekend, Wallingford police were dispatched after someone called them to say there was a merchant selling Nazi and Confederate memorabilia at flea market, which some had found deeply offensive.
