...and to bring my verbose post above to a more common level, a nearby parish of mostly regular, nice, average Catholics has a few members who are self-proclaimed “communists” (one even declares himself an “anarchist”). One of them controls the music ministry and another the religious education program.
Now that’s scary!
And I bet many of you have tried to do something about it, too!
Pray for them. Who knows? Your prayers just may bring about a re-conversion in their lives. (But for me, I’m thinking that would be an extremely difficult task.)
How about if I pray for you?
The New American magazine, July 5, 1999
Communist and socialist elements within a parliament initiate "policies and legislation which strengthen the hand of grassroots revolutionaries." They also connive to punish those who oppose the planned coup. "Meanwhile, grassroots revolutionaries whip up the appearance of popular support" for the revolutionary agenda "through strikes, rallies, petitions, threats, and - sometimes - sabotage. The 'pressure from below' by the small number of revolutionaries and their larger number of dupes is then used to 'justify' the centralization of power in the hands of the executive branch of the state. Wishy-washy politicians are intimidated, and the 'pressure from above' intensifies.
Each legislative victory results in new demands for even stronger legislation, which is relentlessly pursued by communists and their dupes in parliament - who claim that they are acting in the name of the popular will. The cycle continues until opposition is completely powerless, intimidated, or liq! uidated - and the revolution is a fait accompli."
Book Description
Jan Kozak explains how the people of Czechoslovakia were manipulated into voting themselves into slavery. Through targeted mass agitation, a free government was transformed into a totalitarian dictatorship -- legally! Today more than ever, the revolutionary methods described by Kozak are being targeted against American liberties.
Regarding the communist aspect of this, I guess I don't know first hand, once again. There isn't any question that many of the pastors and curates I have bumped into from time to time are beyond liberal. Yet, I've also bumped into more than a few priests who were and are conservatives, both religiously and socially. I even met a Jesuit who is a member of the NRA and quite a fan of free enterprise in the business world.
That doesn't stop me from cringing in revulsion when I hear a sermon by some clown decrying the west in general and the unique culture of the United States in particular.
Is it because of the infiltration of the church in the 1930s? That seems an over simplification. Then, if that is partly so, I'd say they blew it with one Karol Wojtyla and one Joseph Ratzinger. These were and are throw backs, as it were. With luck the believers in truth, justice and the American way will prevail over those men of the cloth who want to have it all crash down in the delusion that crashing institutions will fall in such a way so as to miss their destroyers.
i once heard Rush answer a question on conspiracies between the democratic party and the media, he said that it is not necessary for a conspiracy to have occurred since they all think the smae way! liberals in the church think along the same delusional lines as communists.
btw... some (catholic) university friends of mine and i are doing something about these libs... and having fun at the same time. a friend of mine and i went a few weeks ago to a meeting of those types, some had MAs from Notre Dame and other universities but we got up in front of the WHOLE group and told them they were heretics and we also had the catechism and other documents to prove they were. They shocked - they had never been challenged before!! the counter attack has begun :-D
you’re misleading on this, JP2 and (former) cardinal ratzinger both said that nothing is wrong about medj. jp2 even asked rhetorically; Do they pray there? -yes. do they go to confession there? - yes. then no problem!!
I read a jaw dropping book about ten years ago, I can’t remember the exact title, it was something like AA50, the Diary of An Anti-Apostle or something to that affect.
It was very sobering to read.
“Yet, she said she would sacrifice her life to save him. She entered the Carmelite Convent to pray to God in his name. Michael writes: “She was there for my sake, she would have her hair cut for my sake, she would pray for me all her life, she would be behind gratings for my sake, never anymore would she have the least lover’s joy . . for my sake.” If he was saved, it would be due to a great grace gained from her sacrifice and atonement for his sins.”
This had me in tears!!!
