Need prayers for my mom

Gracious Freepers,

I would appreciate some prayers for my mom. She is under some mysterious illness starting rather recently. She feels weak, feels bad after she eats (stomach probs), and has pain in her gallbladder area. She has been researching on the internet for potential diseases that could be causing this. She has had at least one doctor's appt. that I know of to get a sonogram today to check the abdominal area. She has not gotten the results back.

I ask your prayers that she will get a diagnosis and healing soon. Pray for God to give her strength. Pray that whatever is ailing her is not a serious problem and that it can be fixed easily. Also, pray that surgery will not be needed. My parents already will be strapped trying to help me pay for college. We don't need things to get tighter here than they already are and I don't want to burden them. Pray that my mom will feel better to celebrate and relax as the family celebrates Independence Day.

If it is God's will to not have this be a minor affliction, pray Christ will comfort my mom, give her strength, hope, and endurance. Pray that He will provide a way to allow me to continue my education at the religious institution I want to attend. If he chooses not to, pray I will be able to find a good institution that is not too costly.

My prayers are with her. If it is gall-bladder problems, do not fear surgery too much, my bishop, my priest, and the wife of our mission treasurer all had gall-bladder surgery, came through well, and are doing fine. (Do mention her Christian name--us traditional liturgical types like to pray for folk by their Christian name.)

I'll remember your mother, Wanda in my prayers tonight. Hope all is well with her. If it is gallbladder, I had mine out 8 years ago, and have never felt better.

Please remember my Dad in your prayers, he undergoes heart surgery tomorrow morning. It is a scary time for him and us (the kids) as well.

God Bless.

You've always sounded like a splendid son. You're probably the best medicine your mom could ask for.

But if she needs more, may God provide good doctors, a simple diagnosis, and a quick recovery.
