Hebrew calendar
Jesus did Passover and observed the Torah.
I have been told that the way days were counted back then was
Part of Friday was one day.
All of Saturday was another day.
Part of Sunday was another day.
They didn’t have to be full days.
= = =
I’ve heard that too.
If it was ‘three days and three nights’, does that still apply?
So I think he may have been crucified on Wed.
But I don’t fight about it. Maybe discuss in a calm manner.
He rose on a Sunday.

Or before, maybe. How often did they check before that?
“Love is in the air
Everywhere I look around
Love is in the air
Every sight and every sound”
“Love one another as I have loved you”

The date for Christmas is because Christians believed Christ was conceived during Passover. I think with good reason since the Bible says he was born in winter. https://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/biblical-topics/new-testament/december-25th-and-christmas/
Easter also has nothing to do with the pagans. Easter is called that only by English speakers.
These holidays have to do with Passover which is what Easter is called in non English speaking countries. I guess the question would be why are the English different.
I wish I knew how to get on the Internet.

Jesus was in the tomb Friday before the sun went down, so that was day one. She was in the tomb all of Saturday, so that was day two. He arose sometime after dark on Saturday or early Sunday morning, day three.
Does it say anywhere that he was in the tomb 72 hours?
LOL.
Good 50s/60s memories.
"for just as Jonah was in the stomach of the sea monster for three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights." Matthew. 12:40
Pancake Bunny makes perfect sense, could even be President.
LOL.
you do know that it’s both day and night simultaneously on the earth God created. this isn’t really a problem.
Everybody with an internet connection is a religious expert.
“Not every quote you read on the Internet is true.” – Abraham Lincoln
He was in the ground Friday day and Friday night, Saturday day and Saturday night, Sunday night and Sunday day
with how stuff is written, rather than what is written.
Was there a their there? Do i hear a here here? Or a hear hear!
When was Leap Year Day invented? One or five of those changes the day of the week. The calendar says that this is Sunday here, but it’s Monday afternoon in Australia. And who’s counting anyway?
I remember the opening theme song to that sitcom, as kids we’d sing “it’s about time it’s about space, it’s about time to slap you in the face.” Fun times those 60’s.
